Is there a method to code on XHTML webpage that will use a "scope" to display the music stream that is being played? (like something using JavaScript?)... Just curious... Streaming to Doja devices
Hi, Actually, I thought that Icecast did support seeking for static files. Of course it doesn't for a live stream. Geoff. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Thomas B. Re: Viewing Broadcast using scope in a Webpage
...to bandwidth. To realize this you have several choices: - do something using the built in xslt possibilities. - put out the raw listener numbers and process it with an external app (php/gd/perl/python) Depends on what you want to have as output... I like my stats as a history graph: http://dk0td.afthd.tu-darmstadt.de/mrtg.png This is accomplished using mrtg + some xlst + some wrapper so mrtg can read the output. I'll put up a webpage covering this topic, but am quite busy ATM. Don’t expect this before middle/end of next week. Oh, and - yeah uhh - nowadays I'd probably choose its success...

list of features and question to technology
Hey there, I am wondering if there is any list available giving me a list of feature of icecast (maybe also in comparision with shoutcast). Moreover, I was thinking if and how the following scenario is solved: suppose I'd like to stream 1000 different songs at one time, i.e. 1000 user will listen to different mp3s hosted by my streaming server. Are in this scenario all 1000 songs (at

MRTG calls the Script created in 2. (see mrtg.cfg) Everything else happens automagically. ;) A result can be seen here: http://dk0td.afthd.tu-darmstadt.de/mrtg/icecast/radio.ogg_and_radio+.ogg.html Probably there is an easier way to accomplish this, but it works fine for me. Of course the Perl part could have been done in php or $YOUR_FAVOURITE_SCRIPTING_LANGUAGE... One thing I noticed during organizing the relay for http://www.sube...
