More current version of bluez
Centos continues to fall behind in with the state of bluetooth development. Nothing new from 5.1 to 5.2. Has anyone got a more recent version working and have compile and rpm build instructions? Here are the rpms that I have: bluez-gnome-0.5-5.fc6.i386.rpm bluez-hcidump-1.32-1.i386.rpm bluez-libs-3.7-1.i386.rpm bluez-utils-3.7-2.el5.centos.i386.rpm bluez-utils-cups-3.7-2.el5.centos.i386.rpm

...ils. I've tried one suggestion, adding a nopat to the kernel invocation, but that hasn't helpd although I'm sure the full suggestion, which I can no longer find, also mentioned an "mtrr" addition as well. I'm also sure believe I even saw someone get pointed to some "aftermarket" xorg-x11 RPMs that claimed to work better with the Xen4CentOS environment than the standard ones. My ability to search the interweb thing and find this info has clearly fallen to an all time low, so, does anyone on here have a better memory than I do, as regards that stuff ? (Assuming i didn...

getting rid of hp c3180
...s the ones I would recommend - so far I didn't see HP printers broken, or out of supplies which are not manufactured anymore (stay away from Xerox in any event: I had to throw away several color laser Xerox printers because Xerox stopped making toners for them, and Xerox did all to thwart "aftermarket" compatible supplies). The only disadvantage of laser printer compared to ink is if you need to print high quality photographs: ink of different colors blends, whereas powder in laser printer doesn't. But all on all if you are not picky, photographs printed on laser printers look great to...

Unfortunately I don't have a shorter cable currently. The one I am using is an aftermarket generic 1m USB 2.0 cable purchased from a local office supply store (Office Works) since the UPS did not come with a cable :-( This cable appears to be good quality as it is rather thick. > > Did you have a chance to check the NUT archives? Re: Echo and other reasons to migrate to BRI
...rdware and PSTN hookup will probably do for the echo problems. I'm not sure if you mentioned (lost in the past history of your post now) what sort of hardware you're using for PSTN connection now- TDMs, X100s, ATA's, etc- but that could also be a potential cause. I've heard tell of aftermarket X100s and certain ATA's being very finicky with echo- and age of hardware can sometimes make a difference. I personally use and recommend the Cisco handsets- it's hard (IMHO) to get echo generated there. Adjusting the gains, as you've already done, is generally step two, and should be...

CentOS 4 and Intel D965 motherboards
Does anyone have information on support for Intel D965-based motherboards for CentOS 4 (i386)? I've got a DG965RYCK that fails a CentOS 4.4 install early on (problems scanning the PCI bus). Fedora Core 6 installs just fine. If anyone has any information, or magic boot parameters to try, please let me know. ("Works for me" is OK too). Thanks much. Dave Thompson UW-Madison

It should have at least 10 PCIe''s and will take 32 DIMMs minimum, maybe 64. Eaton 5PX 3rd party batteries
Hello, nut recently told me that the batteries need replacing in my Eaton 5PX2200RT (ups) and 5PXEBM48RT (external battery pack). According to my notes, it has been just over 4 years since I installed them. Looking at on-line sales, these seem to use batteries in a pre-packaged plastic shell. I don't recall if that's what's in my units or not. Do you have any experience with

...er that's been online continuous for 6 months with no reboot. It stays at less than 7% useage no matter what it is doing and always gives back every ounce of the Ram after a task. It's running on a crappy 400 AMD Processor, has only 512meg of Ram and handles over 2000 Email Accounts on an aftermarket Email Server. (only an idiot uses Microsludges SMTP/POP Server). It's not broke and I don't fix it. Anytime you fiddle with any machine, it's going to need to be rebooted. And this includes Windows and Linux both. Anyone not being able to setup a decent Windows Server needs to run...

USB device descriptor read error with Eaton 5E UPS
Hi, I recently purchased a new Easton 5E UPS. I plugged the USB cable into my computer so I could use the NUT UPS tools. However every so often NUT fails to connect to the device after a boot. Looking at dmesg I see errors like this: [ 3.277075] usb 1-9: new low-speed USB device number 6 using xhci_hcd [ 3.302091] usb 1-9: device descriptor read/8, error -32 [ 3.430241] usb 1-9: device

Question about compiler-rt builtins targets
Hi, Short version: Is it possible to enable *all* builtins architectures? How? Longer explanation: I don't quite understand how compiler-rt targets are decided to be built while invoking cmake from the LLVM tree. I tend to believe that builtins and sanitizers (the two big parts in compiler-rt) are quite different monsters, but however they share the same build decisions and (if I'm not

getting rid of hp c3180
I have a hp photosmart C3180 all-in-one and am well and truly sick of it. It seems like every time I go on another printing binge, I need yet another print cartridge. hp-clean doesn't help. IIRC this use it or lose it "feature" is common to inkjets. What should I replace it with? If I want a non-cloggging printer, is laser jet the way I need to go? I'd like to do color

OT: good headphones?
This is off-topic, mostly, but I figure you guys will have some knowledge in this sound-quality-related area. I'm sitting here looking at the most recent "Musician's Friend" at headphones and thinking about getting a pair. They've got products from AKG, Fostex, Audio Technica, Nady, Sennheiser, and Sony, at price points ranging from $16 to $130 (list prices $20 to
