converting a character vector to a function's input
...hat I'm trying to refer to my numeric vectors VAR1, VAR2, and VAR3. i.e. make cbind(some transformed version of character vector) equivalent to cbind(VAR1,VAR2,VAR3) Alternatively, starting with the console input: VAR1 VAR2 VAR3 how does one transform into the input VAR1,VAR2,VAR3 (to get my aformentioned character vector I am using gsub(" ",",","VAR1 VAR2 VAR3")) Thanks for the help! Re: ASMedia ASM1083/1085 rev3 and Xen DMA Failure
.... So it fails with Xen but works otherwise? I assume there are other PCI devices, too? Do they work? If you want to open a report at http://bugzilla.kernel.org, that would be a handy place to attach a complete dmesg log and "lspci -vv" output for more details. > For > instance, aformentioned sound card outputs no sound and gets no > microphone input at all, and an ethernet card causes a system lockup > as soon as gnome''s network manager attempts DHCP over it (presumably; > I did not test this as thoroughly as the sound card). > > I''ve used Xen Hypervis...

"wineserver: /home/Ani/.wine/config is not a valid registry file"
Okay went to: http://wine.dataparty.no/ form there downloaded the rpm, http://wine.dataparty.no/rpm/unstripped/wine-cvs-unstripped-013001-1.i386.rpm downloaded the config file and worked through the install guide. Problem with tor2 driver and Zapata Tormenta 2 Quad T1/PRI Card
...driver under two 2.6 kernels and this 2.4 kernel, no different behavior. Tried turning ACPI off for the machine in the BIOS and on the kernel boot options line, nothing different. Tried swapping the card around multiple PCI slots, nothing different. Tried also compiling the 1.2.5 release against aformentioned kernel versions, as well as the 1.0 and 1.2 branches, and trunk, nothing different. Does anyone have any other troubleshooting tricks for me to try? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance, Derek

libvorbis without encapulsation
Using libvorbis (1.3.5) I wish to extract the raw vorbis packets.  I've built some simple code on the excellent libvorbis API overview on the xiph.org site, but the example relies on the ogg_packet struct for final output and input to decoder, and shows now examples on how to do without it. Taking a look at the vorbis_bitstream_flush() function, which in the overview is the last step before
