[LLVMdev] Wiki?

Yeah, I think there were only 3 accounts in the past wiki: John's,
Reid's and mine. The procedure of obtaining an account for non-UIUC
person was not so easy, afair...

Bootable 2.88MB floppy image
I would like to be able to create a 2.88MB bootable floppy image to hold the kernel and initrd -- will be used for automated install. In various newsgroups there have been many posting attempting to describe how to achieve this, but none of them is complete.
Can syslinux be used to achieve this?
What about memdisk?
Thank you in advance.

Query with special characters crashes under Windows XP
Hi,
Index queries with special characters (e.g. German Umlauts but also
other European ones) make the Ruby process run for quite a long time and
crash finally.
I''m using Rails on Windows XP with Ferret 0.11.4_mswin_32.
I could isolate the problem in the following simple controller action
(so there''s no web browser form field involved):
def test
index = Ferret::I.new

Kyocera P6230cdn driver installation on print server fails
Hello,
I am trying to install the driver on my print server. I used
https://wiki.samba.org/index.php/Setting_up_Automatic_Printer_Driver_Downloads_for_Windows_Clients
as a guide. I tried to install
- KX driver, 32 and/or 64 bit
- KX-XPS driver, 32 and/or 64 bit
- Of both drivers the 64bit variants the installed driver package from system32 directory
With all drivers I get the message

Have you tried to build llvm natively with exact same compiler
version? AFAIR, someone reported, that either this was not possible or
there was a miscompilation.
PS: Everything is with crosscompilation via gcc 3.4.6 & ld 2.18

[LLVMdev] Wiki?
I can set it up on google1.osuosl.org if you guys want.
It's reliable (racked in a data center), etc.
If you wanted to cname it to wiki.llvm.org i can set up the apache
file to virtual host it.
Just name the wiki software you think we should use :)

[LLVMdev] Stack alignment in JIT compiled code

This was for gcc < 4.4, where stack alignment handling was really
messy. stack-realignment branch was merged afair into gcc 4.4 and
allows automatic realignment of stack, when necessary.

SAMBA 4.20 - function level upgrade
Tom??, Andrew,
I just became aware of this thread and noticed that there's likely a
problem in our SAMBA+ packages.
Sorry that this has caused you such a hard time!
Afair we have one or two minor modifications that ought to improve
compatibility with Exchange schema extensions, but I don't remember the
details.
Once we've figured out what's wrong, we'll let you know. Due

SLES?
Hi all,
Just curious,
Quite a while a go, i was checking for supported SW-platform.
AFAIR, it was RHES and SLES
Now it's only RHES-4 and FC-3 or FC-4.
Not a single syllable about CentOS or SLES-9 or SLES-10
It probably just runs fine, but any chance of getting support for their
*-enterprise version? (just in case of, if one needs it)

ASCII colors in MOTD
Hi all,
For some time I noticed that my rsync server is not showing a colorfull MOTD...
Researching a bit, it turns out to be a problem since rsync-2.6.7 (rsync-2.6.6 is OK).
Looking at the NEWS:
- The way rsync escapes unreadable characters has changed. First, rsync
now has support for recognizing valid multibyte character sequences in
your current locale, allowing it to

where did the NAT tool go? (smb network testing/scanning)
Hi,
In the samba debian package there used to be a very convenient utility
to scan networks for open samba shares and weak passwords. Its name
AFAIR is nat.
Where can one find this tool? Is it still maintained? Is there a better
alternative?
Thanks,
