xl: xl.conf(5): correct advice re autoballooning vs. dom0_mem.
The advice was backwards, you should really disable autoballoon if you
use dom0_mem. Also add a reference to the command-line docs.

RAID advice? and KVM advice?
Hello All,
In the not too distant future I will be commissioning a new CentOS
(5.4?) box with 4 identical SATA drives. I'd like to set them up as
RAID 1+0 for speed and redundancy. I've read the RHEL 5 deployment
guide on raid setup and it seems to cover the basics of software raid
pretty well, but doesn't cover 1+0. Does anyone have a reference for
that kind of

Wavelet Image Codec - advice
Hello,
Is is a great pleasure to post on a Xiph IRC Channel.I contacted you to
have your advice and comment about wavelets for image/video compression, as
I have made a wavelet-based image compression codec.
I know that currently the best image/video compression codecs use the DCT
block-based transform, like JPEG, Ogg Theora and the recent Google WebP,
for example, but what would you think of

"Communications with UPS advice@localhost lost" when using an other USB device
I use Debian jessie with nut-server 2.7.2-1+b3.
Yesterday I've configured it for my new Advice PRS850 (a UPS with USB interface).
I also have an USB webcam (and also USB mouse and keyboard, but that doesn't matter).
When I start the program Cheese (a program which uses the webcam), I receive the following broadcast message:
"Communications with UPS advice at localhost lost"

R advice
Dear R-help
As a novice to R I was seeking some advice with respect to using R to
help solve a problem I have.
I have a large number of infiles that need analysed. This can be done, I
believe, using 2 separate R packages (popgen and ape) with the output
from 'popgen' being used as input for 'ape'. What I would like to know
is whether it is possible within R to write some

Advice on graphics to design circle with density-shaded sectors
Hello,
I am looking for some general advice on which graphics package to use to
make a figure demonstrating my experimental design.
I want to design a circle with 7 sectors inside. Then I will want to
shade the sectors depending on densities of observations in the
sectors. I will also want to draw horizontal lines at increments along

fraud advice (Also advice on using ipbanning)
When we designed our systems on asterisk we designed it to me multi-tenant.
Se we use customer prefixes on all extensions. This allows us to have
multiple customers using the same extension pools. It also reduces the hack
foot print as hackers must know the prefix for a customer to try and brute
force things. All passwords use 8+ characters with alfa/numeric and special
characters.
