Rewriting caller ID from database?
Hi Most of our customers have generic names like "Hospital", so I need to rewrite their caller ID name by looking up the number in a database on the Asterisk server, and rewriting the name such as "Reading Hospital" so that we know who's calling. Any idea if this can be done with Asterisk, and how to do it? Thank you.

problem with 1.73
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 I can not get this version of syslinux to recognise a valid kernel. I have 1.67 (but thought I would grab the latest) and 1.73 doesn't work. The hardware I am using is the Advantech PCI-6771 with a 64MB flash disk and the leaf bering distrution 1.0rc2 was the kernel image. I get an invalid or corrupt kernel message on boot. rbootd
Hi list, for a few days I have got a new single board computer from Advantech with a VIA C3 Eden for playing around. This SBC has a RTL8139 onboard. I tried to remote boot this SBC, but it didn't work. This very new SBC uses a very old protocol for booting: RBOOT. I installed the rbootd and tried to configure it. But rbootd doesn't receive any packet. I debugged...

Unable to boot from USB CD-ROM on AMD Geode LX800
I'm trying to build a bootable CD for an Advantech PCM-4153 board (based on an AMD Geode LX800) that will allow to boot from USB CD-ROM drive. I've created an ISO that will load ISOLINUX (3.51) and appears to load the kernel and initrd images, but reboots the system when it tries to run the kernel. When I use either isolinux.bin and isolinux-...

Asterisk and firewall
Hi all, I have installed an asterisk server at my office, the server is behind a firewall. On the firewall I've set NAT a rule for incoming traffic on port 5060 to be forwarded to the server. Connecting from home with my sip client doesn't work at all. The asterisk server itself is ok, when I make a local connection at my office, 10.0.0.129 (client) to 10.0.0.6 (asterisk server) it

boot process glitch due to missing 2nd disk
I just installed centos on a Dell that used to have 2 internal disks, but I removed one just before the install. Now when I boot it, it stops and outputs a message complaining about the missing disk and I have to hit F1 to get it to continue booting. Is there some bios setting that is causing this? Obviously, I'd like it to just forget about the missing disk and go ahead and boot with just
