bargraph.CI change se for sd
Hi there, I am a beginner. I would like to change the error bars in the bargraph.CI function from the default (se) to (sd). The help file says ci.fun= function(x) c(fun(x)-se(x), fun(x)+se(x)) Is there a simple way of telling the function what (x) precisely is - I already define in in the of the bargraph.CI function and assume that is should be able to use that information. cheers, Herwig --

Wishlist: write.delim()
Hi, It would be great if someone would add write.delim() as an adjunct to write.table(), just as with write.csv(). I store a lot of data in tab-delimited files and can read it in easily with: read.delim("text.txt", as.is=TRUE) and would love to be able to write it out as easily when I create these files. The obvious setting needed for write.delim() is sep = "\t", but in

color in plot title: title(sub="something", col=4)
Is there a way to specify the color of the main title, the subtitle, or the axis labels? I mean, for instance, something like title(main="cougar", col=2) For me, the above command produces the color black; that is, the "col" argument has no effect. I'm on a Windows 2000 machine with > version _ platform i386-pc-mingw32 arch i386 os mingw32 system

Compatability with Tiger OS X 10.4
Does anyone know if R will install and run properly on the soon to be released Tiger operating system (Mac OS X 10.4)? There must be several Mac users out there (like myself) who will be considering the upgrade. -- Hemant Ishwaran Staff, Dept of Quantitative Health Sciences, Cleveland Clinic Foundation Adjunct Professor, Dept of Statistics, Case University

Reading an ArcGIS raster file
Dear members, How can I read and plot an ArcGIS raster file into R ? The file has extension .aux and contains floating point bathymetry data. The purpose is to create a spatial model in R that uses ArcGIS map data. I have managed to read and plot various shape files into my R project, but I am stuck with this now. I am new to this list and also to R, so any help would be much appreciated. Many

recursive finds
I am trying to supplement and ultimately provide a patch for ''foreman'' which is an adjunct to puppet. Essentially, there is a Hosts class which belongs_to Hostgroup and Hostgroup class has a column called ''ancestry'' which is actually a Hostgroup (probably what is referred to as STI but I am not sure) and thus within Foreman, nesting Hostgroups is not uncommon.

user routing versus admin routing strategies?
In an app where ordinary users are limited to viewing and editing their own "stuff", but someone with admin privs can view and edit anybody''s stuff, what''s the right strategy for routing? At first blush, I''d think that an ordinary user (e.g. with id 565) should see something like: http://example.com/mystuff.html ... where the controller assumes

CentOS 6.2-x86-64
...Question: Is there anything that can be done about this? Or is there something better, like a 64 bit synaptic to replace yumex? Mail problem: I've been using a fetchmail -> procmail system here for years to unload kmail from its mail pulling duties, making it many times easier to use. Adjuncts to that are spamassassin, clamav, and mailfilter There appears not to be any 64 bit builds of clamav and mailfilter. I do have the src for mailfilter, however it refuses to build on x86-64, issuing this error: ================== Making all in src gmake[2]: Entering directory `/usr/src/mailfilter...

Sources for open sourced homework questions for R?
Hi, I am teaching a one month class in applied statistics and want to bring my students up to speed in R without devoting much/any lecture time to R instruction. I think that the best way to do this is to provide them with a lot of R questions for homework. These questions would be numerous (there is a lot of material to cover), go from very simple to somewhat complex, and focus on all the

Request for comments on queue statistics
All, I've been doing a lot of work on the Queue application and have some ideas I wanted to get some feedback on. Many people, myself included, have stated their desire for more/better queue statistics. We ought to be able to bring things up to a standard comparable to the established ACD apps. While some basic metrics (completed/abandoned calls, which agents last took a call, etc) can be

Error: corrupted double-linked list
Hello, Not sure if this is the right list of if this is a gdal/sf issue so I apologize but recently I've been seeing errors that crash R/3.5.1 and throw a double-linked list error (see below). Has anyone else come across this issue and if so is there a fix? > rwhole <- st_transform(rwhole,st_crs(ele.map)) *** Error in `/usr/local/lib64/R/bin/exec/R': corrupted double-linked list:

setMethod confusion -best reference for S4 programming
Thanks I think you have both answered my question (reckon Ill go S3 on that). As an adjunct to this do you know what might be the best reference to the S4 methods current implementation. I have ordered the Chambers book "Programming with Data", and I have a short tutorial-- "S4 Classes in 15 pages, more or less". Have I missed any other useful resources? Stephen Henderson

Centos 7 dhcpd failure to allow a 2nd network over same interal nic
Everyone, I am trying to set up a second internal network (192.168.0.0/24) and have not been able to get dhcp to start when I have the following in my dhcpd.conf file : subnet 192.168.0.0 netmask 255.255.255.0 { range 192.168.0.110 192.168.0.130; option subnet-mask 255.255.255.0; option broadcast-address 192.168.0.255; option routers 192.168.0.1; option

Lucent and ISDN-PRI
Hi Everyone, So I have been further exploring the integration of our asterisk server and our lucent definity g3si system. I took the suggestion of setting up an isdn-pri line added the two way tie trunk and the signalling group, but can't seem to get the PRI signalling working on the asterisk correctly. I've set pri type to network on the lucent, and pri_cpe in zapata on the asterisk, but

Changing the BLAS from openblas on a F32 box
Thanks (again) I?aki. There was a typo in my reply above. I should have said: I *can't* answer the question re USE_LOCKING=1. Those other suggestions are really helpful too; I really didn't understand what the difference was (I'm still not clear what the differences are between say openblas-openmp and openblas-openmp64), but I did get R to pass mgcv's thread safe test with both
