bargraph.CI change se for sd
Hi there, I am a beginner. I would like to change the error bars in the bargraph.CI function from the default (se) to (sd). The help file says ci.fun= function(x) c(fun(x)-se(x), fun(x)+se(x)) Is there a simple way of telling the function what (x) precisely is - I already define in in the of the bargraph.CI function and assume that is should be able to use that information. cheers, Herwig --

Wishlist: write.delim()
Hi, It would be great if someone would add write.delim() as an adjunct to write.table(), just as with write.csv(). I store a lot of data in tab-delimited files and can read it in easily with: read.delim("text.txt", as.is=TRUE) and would love to be able to write it out as easily when I create these files. The obvious setting needed for write.delim() is sep...

Problem with cloud-init on re-boot
...seems to avoid the issue. I've actually disabled cloud-init, but I'm wondering if there is a simple solution to the problem? Actually, I don't remember installing cloud-init; maybe it was brought in by some other package? It's not clear to me why I should need it; is it a necessary adjunct to libvirtd? -- Timothy Murphy gayleard /at/ eircom.net School of Mathematics, Trinity College, Dublin

...anyone know if R will install and run properly on the soon to be released Tiger operating system (Mac OS X 10.4)? Reading an ArcGIS raster file
...to create a spatial model in R that uses ArcGIS map data. I have managed to read and plot various shape files into my R project, but I am stuck with this now. I am new to this list and also to R, so any help would be much appreciated. recursive finds
I am trying to supplement and ultimately provide a patch for ''foreman'' which is an adjunct to puppet. Essentially, there is a Hosts class which belongs_to Hostgroup and Hostgroup class has a column called ''ancestry'' which is actually a Hostgroup (probably what is referred to as STI but I am not sure) and thus within Foreman, nesting Hostgroups is not uncommon. Thus I...

user routing versus admin routing strategies?
In an app where ordinary users are limited to viewing and editing their own "stuff", but someone with admin privs can view and edit anybody''s stuff, what''s the right strategy for routing? At first blush, I''d think that an ordinary user (e.g. with id 565) should see something like: http://example.com/mystuff.html ... where the controller assumes

CentOS 6.2-x86-64
...Question: Is there anything that can be done about this? Or is there something better, like a 64 bit synaptic to replace yumex? Mail problem: I've been using a fetchmail -> procmail system here for years to unload kmail from its mail pulling duties, making it many times easier to use. Adjuncts to that are spamassassin, clamav, and mailfilter There appears not to be any 64 bit builds of clamav and mailfilter. I do have the src for mailfilter, however it refuses to build on x86-64, issuing this error: ================== Making all in src gmake[2]: Entering directory `/usr/src/mailfilte...

Request for comments on queue statistics
...le some basic metrics (completed/abandoned calls, which agents last took a call, etc) can be kept in memory for real-time use, any numbers handled in this way are neither auditable or storable for management review. As a first step towards getting real queue statistics going (a project arguably adjunct to Asterisk itself), I propose that the Queue app be modified to produce its own "Queue Log," which could be stored either as text or in a SQL table. For simplicity I would probably just implement a MySQL backend. The "Queue Log" could record events such as when an agent to...

setMethod confusion -best reference for S4 programming
Thanks I think you have both answered my question (reckon Ill go S3 on that). As an adjunct to this do you know what might be the best reference to the S4 methods current implementation. I have ordered the Chambers book "Programming with Data", and I have a short tutorial-- "S4 Classes in 15 pages, more or less". Have I missed any other useful resources? Stephen Hen...

So far you are obviously correct that this can not be done. I am trying to use a wireless router as an adjunct to my home network. I would like to be able to have public network ip addresses assigned from my dhcpd server that are in a different subnet from other the machines in my home. I thought this would be possible but apparently not. I could have the wireless router assign separate subnet ip addresse...

Lucent and ISDN-PRI
Hi Everyone, So I have been further exploring the integration of our asterisk server and our lucent definity g3si system. I took the suggestion of setting up an isdn-pri line added the two way tie trunk and the signalling group, but can't seem to get the PRI signalling working on the asterisk correctly. I've set pri type to network on the lucent, and pri_cpe in zapata on the asterisk, but

design question for small environment
...servers and VMs. > > So the thinclients are primarily domain members in the domain > "BigFatCompany" and would have to be members in the domain > "ProtectedServers" as well. > That does change things, it sounded like you were running a small workgroup, not an adjunct to a domain. If you don't want passwords stored anywhere, or floating about the lan, then you need to join the two standalone servers to the domain, probably one as a DC or RODC and then only allow access to the shares from the thinclients via ACLs.
