Large scale tinc tests
Hello. I wonder if someone here performe such large scale tinc-vpn tests.. There are platforms like Imunes or CORE to do generic Ethernet and IP testing and routing, but I found that at least on Imunes it is problematic to start TAP iface on vimage on FreeBSD (at least 4.11 with I use). To fix that, I think about coding in BSD NetGraph support to tinc. But first I need to do testing if actualy

Yield-to-Maturity problem
Hello everybody, I am not very advanced in my R skills so I really hope anybody of you can help me with this problem on which I have been working for hours. I would like to write a function, which can guess the yield-to-maturity for any values: C, NV, r, s1, s2, and for a freely chosen tolerance (tol). Additionaly, for freely chosen T; -> s1, s2, s3, ..., sT I appreciate your help so much.

Domain Groups missing
Hi, I have a strange problem with my samba domain servers, they do no longer show the domain or local groups. I run three debian sarge machines as samba domain controllers (samba version is 3.0.23c) with an ldap backend in master/slave configuration. getent group shows all the groups, net groupmap list shows all the groups but net rpc info outputs: Domain Name: GOTTINGER Domain SID:

Solr
Well, "break-imap-search" option prevent dovecot from starting. I used solr on one server since yesterday. First feedback is that * BODY search is not working * FTS is not really working in headers : For instance, if you search "kliinik" but you type "kliini" (missing one k), the search does not return anything , whereas it shall return more results (as the

prevent workgroups from appearing in browse list
Hi, I have a samba 2.2.1a (cvs-06.08.2001) running as PDC for my domain, and it is doing fine. But in the broadcast domain there are severeal other workgroups (no domains) with their own Domain Master Browsers. Additionaly there are always a lot of unconfigured computers not under my control, which build their own workgroups (e.g. mdkhome, workgroup...). My problem is now, how do I prevent all

sftp client: upload from pipe
Hi, the sftp client from openssh package can't upload data from local pipe to remote file. For example, such a command fails: $ cat file | sftp -b <(echo 'put /dev/stdin /directory/filename') -i ~/.ssh/key user at remote.host sftp> put /dev/stdin /directory/filename /dev/stdin is not a regular file What is a purpose for such a behaviour and limitation? As experiment, I removed

ODP: Re: freeradius + NTLM + samba AD 4.5.x
Hello, I can definately confirm that it's working. My basic setup is: 1) Samba 4.7.6 AD DC (2 of them), compiled from source, on centos 7 2) Freeradius 3.0.13 + samba 4.6.2 as domain member, packages straight from centos repo. // I  tested also on freeradius 3.0.14 and samba 4.7.x smb.conf on the DC is pretty basic, most important is obviously in [globall]:         ntlm auth =

Problem with MTU > 1500, ifconfig segmentation fault
Hi all, I am using Xen 2.0.7. I have Broadcom NetXtreme BCM5704 Gigabit Ethernet (rev 02) cards which support frames greater than 1500. However when I boot into Xen and try to set the MTU to anything higher than 1500 (e.g., 4000, 8000 etc) I get a segmentation fault. After this fault, every command fails with a segmentation fault. I saw a similar bug report posted here:

[Fwd: Re: : Win XP Client does not remove directories]
Hello Mailinglist, I still have the problem, which is described in my first and second post with this topic, that i sometimes can't delete directories on the Samba-Server from WinXP machines. I can't send my Ethereal-Logs to the list, but i send them to Jeremy, who never answered me anyway. If anyone can help me or would like to see the Ethereal-Logs, with the fact, that Windows

Yield-to-Maturity problem
This isn't all that likely to be homework, Bert.... However, Alexander, you may find that not many readers are familiar with YTM concepts. There's a chapter with R examples in Ruppert+Matteson's book (if you have SpringerLink, you may be able to download for free). Otherwise you could try searching CRAN, but be warned that you may get considerably more than you wished for. Some

Hi @all, Can someone please just confirm me, that Samba doesn't remove a directory in case of a "SET_FILE_INFO"-Request for this directory? The following abstract is out of an Ethereal-Log and shows a SET-FILE-INFO-Request for a directory: ############################################################################ No. Time Source Destination

Patch for ini plugin
Hi, recently I took a look at ini to find a bug which made it crash at startup. While fixing the bug I realized I could do some improvements to the option reading code (espacally the action part). So I went on and here we are. This patch should make ini more robust, clean it up and fix also some more crashes I had here. Additionaly, I have a attached a second patch from Maniac which should fix
