[LLVMdev] Build Attributes Proposal
...;baldrick at free.fr> wrote: > Since I don't know anything about these attributes, talk of indexes and > so forth goes straight over my head. Hi Duncan, I assumed you knew what build attributes were in the first place, my mistake. For a full explanation of what they are, see ARM ABI Addenda, section 2.1 (PDF). (Google's first hit for "arm abi addenda"). Simply put, build attributes express the user explicit intentions when compiling code, so the linker can take better decisions when linking the objects. These attributes apply normally to whole units, but could apply to...

[LLVMdev] CPUStringIsValid() into MCSubtargetInfo and use it for ARM .cpu parsing
Hi Divacky, I have an armv7 variant that supports hardware division (extension). For my variant, I use ".cpu cortex-a9" and division attribute(.eabi_attribute 44, 2 @ Tag_DIV_use) to let the assembler do the right thing if it encounters a division instruction. With your path, the .cpu directive is used to fetch the available features of a CPU and ignores the eabi attributes. What

addenda to wordperfect
I did find a say to get to the directory holding wpwin9 and it strarted but then froze with the splash screen. Not sure how to get the error message in here; seems to have to do with the keyboard and X11driver; hope I am abusing this bulletin board, but I am hoping someone can help me with the next step. Thanks

[LLVMdev] questions about ARM EABI attributes
ARM backend emits different eabi build attributes based on the ISA variant the target supports or whether certain fast-math options are passed on the command line. For example, these are the attributes that have different values depending on whether -ffast-math is passed to clang: $ clang -target armv7-linux-gnueabi -ffast-math (with -ffast-math) .eabi_attribute 20, 2 @ Tag_ABI_FP_denormal

Sourcetrunk : OpenSSH episode
...nSSH) and thought I'd let you know. The podcast aired on 27/06/2009 . You can find it on www.sourcetrunk.com . If you are under the impression that your software was not reviewed like it should and/or did not get the review that it deserved, please let me know and I'll make adjustments and addenda in the next episode. Since the reviews are rather short and it is not possible to cover every feature of the software (and due to the nature of OpenSSH this task is really difficult), there is a fair chance that I've missed features that should have been mentioned. If so, just point them out t...

Boost Polycom IP601 headset volume
Hi everyone, I have a user that needs a little extra volume on his Polycom IP 601 phone set for all calls (beyond what the volume control currently offers). Is there a provisioning setting for this anywhere? (I'd like to avoid a separate amplifier between the phone and handset if possible.) Alternatively, is there a way to have Asterisk 1.4.x boost the volume to a particular SIP device

[LLVMdev] Build Attributes Proposal
...on in mind, but some ARM build attributes refer to the way optimizations and floating-point were assumed when compiling. If the user required IEEE 754 precision when compiling, you should honour that, possibly using libraries that guarantee you won't diverge from the standard. Please read the Addenda for more information: http://infocenter.arm.com/help/topic/com.arm.doc.ihi0045c/index.html (chapter 2.3.7) There could be similar assumption in Intel or PowerPC, they're not exclusively on ARM, so having them on a global attribute list (that can easily be ignored by any target), could help....

[LLVMdev] CPUStringIsValid() into MCSubtargetInfo and use it for ARM .cpu parsing
...parsing Hi Sumanth, > Shouldn’t the eabi attributes be honored ? EABI attributes are instructions for the linker on which object files are compatible with each other, not instructions for the assembler (and trying to make them so sounds like a recipe for confusion to me). >From the ARM ABI addenda: "Build attributes record data that a linker needs to reason mechanically about the compatibility, or incompatibility, of a set of relocatable files." > What should be the approach to fix the issue which I am facing? [LLVMdev] Build Attributes Proposal
Hi all, So, after long rounds to define how the build attributes are going to be represented in IR, and after Jason has implemented build attributes in MC, I have a proposal on how to represent this in IR. First, we need to distinguish between target dependent and independent attributes. Generic things like optimization level, specific optimizations, use of vector instructions, use of

[PATCH v3 0/2] New tool: virt-tail.
Since v2: - Fix the things that Pino mentioned, except the recursion. - Implement Windows support. For Windows support to be sane, I had to inline the add_and_mount code. Rich.

[PATCH 0/3] tests: Define common test functions.
Previously I posted a work-in-progress preview of this patch series: https://www.redhat.com/archives/libguestfs/2017-February/msg00224.html This is the finished version that updates all of the shell-script based tests. It passes 'make check', 'make check-direct' and 'make check-slow'. Rich.
