Samba audit logging not working as expected
Hi :-)
This is cross-posted from Linux Questions where it has not been answered.
This Samba configuration does not put anything in
/var/log/samba/log.audit as expected. The messages are triplicated into
/var/log/{messages,syslog,user.log}.
Here is the global section of smb.conf created by testparm
smb.conf.source > smb.conf (no error messages)

NUT driver scheduler
Dear nut-upsdev,
I writed one small function to test if batteries was really bad (using solis
driver). Isn't so acurated but it's what we need.
Just wait 100% batteries charge, turn off input, wait some time (10% from
previst autonomy) and turn on input again.
Looking startAutonomy - stopAutonomy we can know the basic batteries state.
To scheduler the tests I have one new parameter on driver config file (days...

Was wondering if anyone can help with this, im trying to

The correct version of one or more libraries needed to run

MixMonitor - garbled/corrupted WAV files
Hi,
I've had problems with MixMonitor recordings. A lot (I'd say almost 50%) of
those are corrupted (can`t be opened) or garbled. That is on only one
server, which is using the same Asterisk version (1.6.2.18) as the other
servers which are mostly fine.
What can be the cause? The conversation themselves are reportedly of good
quality, only the recording is a problem.

[LLVMdev] Problems linking shared library with __declspec(dllexport)
Hi all,
I am trying to use llvm-gcc to link shared libraries on windows/mingw32.
When I try to link libraries that contain functions declared with
__declspec(dllexport) someFunction();
I get the link error:
Cannot export _someFunction: symbol not found
Removing the declspec directive solves the problem, but this is not a
very feasible solution for me.
Using 'regular' gcc does not

dllexport declspec should be put on the function definition, in this
example there is nothing to export - dllexport

Ok, you're right.
The declaration is actually there in the function definition.
Sorry to provide a broken example.
Here is a more acurate one:
--- function.c
__declspec(dllexport) someFunction()
{
printf("Hi\n");
}
---
Compiling this gives:
$ llvm-gcc -shared -o libfunction.dll function.c
Cannot export _someFunction: symbol not found
collect2: ld returned 1 exit status

Bug#725082: libxen-dev: missing libraries
Package: libxen-dev
Version: 4.1.4-3+deb7u1
Severity: wishlist
Dear Maintainer,
I want to make some fine monitoring of my xen machines and the xentop utility does not exactly fits my needs
I saw in the sources that it uses some kind of library named libxenstat wich seems very acurate.
This library is already built to make the xentop utility but the debian package does not makes it available as
a shared library.
It would be cool to have libxenstat.so and xenstat.h in the development package.
Thanks.

Asterisk under SUSE 9.2/VMWARE 5.5.1
Hi everybody
I'm trying to make Asterisk 1.2.1 run under VMWARE and Suse 9.2.
I use ZTDUMMY module for timing and ZTTEST gets an average precision of 98,4 %.
Is there any way to improve it?
Best regards
Mauro Zanin

Realtime, 2 server setup problem?
...no route to dest.
When I do a 'sip show peer ..' on ServerB, the peer comes back fine, it
even shows all the proper fields listed in the database (ie, codec, dtmf
mode, etc). However, the IP address field is coming back as
"unspecified".
Now, naturally I ensured server time was acurate with NTP for starters.
This was to avoid the registration appearing as EXPIRED on ServerB.
Sip.conf snippet (same on ServerA and ServerB)
...
rtcachefriends=yes
rtupdate=yes
rtautoclear=yes
rtignoreexpire=yes
So, as you can all see it's most importantly caching the peer and
updating MySQL....

Spearman's rank correlation test (PR#13574)
...However, the way how AS 89 is used incures error,
which may be an order of magnitude larger than the error of the original
algorithm.
The paper, which introduced AS 89, provides error bounds, which are larger
than the actual error. The reason may be, that current implementation of
AS 89 uses more acurate estimate of the distribution function of the normal
distribution. The error of the R implementation of cor.test() for positive
correlation and n = 11 is larger than this pessimistic upper bound.
The problem is discussed in more detail in R-devel postings

Cannot get cmusieve to work
...for the incinvenience ##
I'm not able to make cmusieve to work to filter emails. Below is my
configuration.
I'm using a .dovecot-sieve example from the wiki:
require "fileinto";
if exists "X-Spam-Flag" {
? fileinto ".Junk/";
}
I've been following (as acurately as I could) the documentation, tuts
and examples. I found this in the dovecot list:
http://www.dovecot.org/list/dovecot/2007-March/020674.html
and I used the CONCAT method but anyway mails don't filter because of
two "//".

OGG/OGM media container
Hi all,
Xiph aims at developing open-standards media formats. Though xiph.org
tells about vorbis/theora/flac/speex, nothing is mentioned about container
to use (that is ogg/ogm). I have a few questions
Is there a difference between ogg and ogm? I guess its only the extension
that is different and everything else is same.
Some tools (like ogmtools) are available to create ogm files. What is
