Centos as Gateway ? (Router/transparent proxy)

6. Things which are needed :
a. Ability to separate Wireless router from LAN. (thinking
of vlans though as i have a dumb switch am thinking of adding a 3d NIC

thinking of SARG and SQstat for squid)
c. using some sort of shell script that will parse squid
logs (mysar will help me access squid logs through mysql) and if someone
bypassed their allowed quota for the day they will be moved to a delay
pool...

IAX based war dialer
This may be of interest -- as a tool we can use to test our systems and as
a weapon that may be used against us :)

A brief read-over looks like it uses iaxclient and ruby to war dial a
range of numbers and record audio samples to be analyzed to identify if
the call was answered by a modem, fax machine, human, etc.
The calls are placed through a PSTN termination

postfix tightening
I am used to sendmail and am using Postfix now and am uncertain of some
features. I typically would comment out the line in sendmail.mc that
went something like 'accept unresolvable domains'
I tried using
smtpd_sender_restrictions =
reject_unverified_sender
reject_unverified_smtp
and this seems a bit too restrictive and got some bounces on legitimate
senders

CentOS for commercial use
I'm a home user of CentOS (a desktop and a laptop) because I like the
quality of the product and I love the cost. I'm a great believer in
FOSS.
That being said, I know that some of you use CentOS for production
servers and (perhaps?) desktops as well. I've read at leat one comment
like "I have 20 CentOS servers."
