[PATCH 3/4] drm/qxl: Drop fbdev hwaccel flags
It's not accelarated, just system memory. Note we don't even need to set the default flag since that's now always 0. Cc: Dave Airlie <airlied at redhat.com> Cc: Gerd Hoffmann <kraxel at redhat.com> Cc: virtualization at lists.linux-foundation.org Signed-off-by: Daniel Vetter <daniel.vetter at in...

[PATCH] nouveau: put cursor BO in GART
Keeping it in VRAM wastes CPU time, because cursor_set ioctl reads handed BO back to RAM, just to write it to actual cursor BO. Here (nv92/core i7), this patch decreases overall cpu usage of drmmode_load_cursor_argb from 4.6ms to ~90us and lets nv50_crtc_cursor_set disappear from perf traces. --- I considered accelerating kernel-side copying with GPU, but it turns out that: - it's slower

2460x1440 video card recommendation
Can someone recommend a video card that's capable of driving a monitor at 2560x1600 or 2560x1440 and just works with Centos 7 without requiring any outside video drivers? I would prefer to stay with the built-in video drivers that are included with Centos 7 if possible; I don't play games and such, so I'm not looking for high performance 3D -- I just want a high resolution desktop.

What does Solr index do and how to handle its high avaliablity?
Hi, guys, Can you give me an example of solr usage in dovecot? As far as I know, you can search email easily by MUA like outlook, so which role does solr play? And based on https://dovecot.org/pipermail/dovecot/2019-April/115575.html I'm going to use an VIP to host 2 mail servers. Currently, it works in fail over and fail back test except solr index, so how to resolve this? Is it

Can we disable diffie-hellman-group14-sha1 by default?
I'm not sure if collision resistance is required for DH key derivation, but generally, SHA-1 is on its way out. If it's possible (if there's not a very large percentage of servers that do not support anything newer), it should be disabled.

Simple Captcha for Rails
check out the simple captcha plugin for rails... http://expressica.com/2007/02/06/simple-captcha-released-the-captcha-for-rails-applications/ it is really simple to implement, just need one line of code in view and one line of code in controller or model as required. And it provides multiple image styles to be selected from. -- Posted via http://www.ruby-forum.com/.

[LLVMdev] OT: new here, dynamic/runtime compilation (in general)
well, sadly, I am not sure how people are on this list... in any case, LLVM is an interesting project, and may well continue being interesting. but, in my case, I have done my own compilation framework... ok, I didn't really hear about the really interesting bits of LLVM until after I had (more or less) wrote mine... ok, my point is to maybe to have something interesting to talk about, not
