Samba as AD member can not validate domain user

The other issue I have - if the user is not a member of particular domain group, but has the right to accees the share, it is requested to enter username/pw, but can not access it anyway: [shareY] comment = Other share path=/home/shares/data/shareY browseable = yes read only = no valid users = @INTERNAL\\group1, @INTERNAL\\otheruser force group = @I...

help with 3.0.20 admin users=
...e note he was NOT listed in the valid users group (he was not in @cai_hw1 /etc/netgroup) However since upgrading to 3.0.20 with the same conf file the professor is no longer able to get to the share, it gives permission denied. So I added him to the /etc/netgroup file and he can now get accees to the share but gets access denied when going into one of the student directories. Can anyone tell me how admin users and valid users works in the new version, I am not sure if this is a bug or if I neglected to do something. Thanks for your help James Mauser Computer Coordinato...

Server URL vs. Listen URL
I'm in the process of setting up ICECAST Server running on Windows Server 2003. the Server sits behind a NAT Firewall with a port opened up to make the Icecast server accessible. From an IP address when the Server is running I can access the stream no problems. But I cannot accees the server by name from the Internet. I have traced the problem down to the names being used for the Server URL and Listen URL being crossed up by the ICES Client (possible Bug in the client code) Before I go screaming the sky is falling though I want to check to ensure I'm right in my assump...

Authentication problems
...own username." These are people that have permissions on unix and can usually access these drives from NT. It usually happens after I reboot the server, and sometimes corrects itself when I reboot again. I don't know if this could be related or not, but it never happens when people try to accees drives on the server we have NIS+ on, but it happens to people trying to access drives on our second server. There is a group of people that it sometimes happens to, and some people that it never happens to. I can't see any real pattern except that it seems to be related to rebooting the serv...

PIX!!!!!
Can anyone point me in a good direction for configuring SIP through a PIX using 1:1 NAT. I have read anything I could get my hands on and tried them all with very little success. I can get it to work through the cheap little cable modem routers, but not this PIX. I -can- make a direct SIP call using the IP address of the * server (ie.exten@ipaddr), but when I do that * still doesn't
