[LLVMdev] Ideas for representing vector gather/scatter and masks in LLVM IR
...pervasively to LLVM without disrupting the currently nice property that most of the standard arithmetic instructions are "overloaded" to work on all types. The space of options that I saw available (and please don't judge these options just yet, I am well aware that some of them are abhorrent): 1 - Make masking explicit and change every potentially side-effecting operation to include an i1 mask in the scalar case and i1 vector mask in the vector case. 2 - Add specialized masked versions of these operations (distinct from the unmasked versions) either as intrinsics or new instruction...

Actually try to install CentOS7

You could also use VNC, although apparently that's abhorrent. -- Jonathan Billings <billings at negate.org>

klibc repository
...all, I'm a bit concerned about the following statement included in 2.6.0-test4: +For active users, you are better off using the klibc BitKeeper +repositories, at http://klibc.bkbits.net/ Since I refuse to use bk because I consider the anti-competition clause in the free bk license to (a) be abhorrent and (b) meaning that it's of at best questionable legality for me to use free BK, that I'm effectively locked out of this loop. Anyone have any ideas how we can reasonably deal with this? -hpa

Also, it does not provide for the option to upgrade. In fact the banner does not even say In...

Concrete examples would be helpful. Ok, so I took my own advice and thought about CSE and instcombine a bit. I wrote the code by hand in a sort of pseudo-llvm language, so

My goal is to have Cortex-A9 support complete in far less than three months. I've recently gotten some additional help toward that goal, so the pace should pick up soon. As far as compiler texts, there are many newer texts to recommend as just about all the major optimization passes are done differently after SSA-form appeared in about 1991. However, for adding Cortex-A8 support, I don't
