ts; decompose; plot and title
Is there any way to give a "decent" title after I plot something
generated by decompose?
For example:
# generate something with period 12
x <- rnorm(600) + sin(2 * pi * (1:600) / 12)
# transform to a monthy time series
y <- ts(x, frequency=12, start=c(1950,1))
# decompose
z <- decompose(y)
# plot
plot(z)
Now, the title is the ugly "Decomposition of additive time

...nything to do with the truth of a proposition. He was not writing
in any statistical context. Rather, he was discussing the daffy
notion of ``alien abductions'' which apparently has been taken
seriously by some Ivy League psychologist on the basis that many of
those who claim to have been abducted so fervently ***believe***
their own tales. (So they must be true!) However, the point still
stands.

bridging shaper
Hello,
I have a transparent bridge/firewall setup using linux-2.6.3. My iptables
commands for the firewall seem to work fine, but my tc traffic shaper
rules dont. The tc rules seem to apply ok, but have no effect.
Here are my tc rules. Basically im just trying to limit each IP in my
internal /24 to 512k of bandwidth in and out.

tc qdisc del dev $DEV root
tc qdisc add dev $DEV

Services not required?
I''m in the process of locking down as much of my systems here
as possible as to available ports. I am down to only a handful
but am not sure how much of a security risk they pose and was
wondering if anyone here might be able to comment, or suggest
secure versions to run:

HOWTO unmaintained?
Hi,
more than a month ago I proposed an addition to the HOWTO to address a
certain packet classification problem/bug and how to fix it (see
http://mailman.ds9a.nl/pipermail/lartc/2005q3/016728.html).
I never received any reaction from the HOWTO maintainers, not even
when addressing them directly (see mail below).
Given that a month has gone by: Is the HOWTO currently unmaintained?
Regards,
