aaccli on recent conrollers?
I have just built a new SunFire X4100 server with an Adaptec 2230SLP RAID card using FreeBSD 6.2-PRE kernel (from September 20). Everything is working extremely well except I cannot run the aaccli utility on this controller. When I try to open the controller, it gives this error: Command Error: <The current AFAAPI.DLL is too old to work with the current controller software.> On my other X4100 with the same RAID card but FreeBSD 6.0, aaccli works just fine. On my 6.2-PRE with...

Trouble with Paste and Quotes and List Objects
Dear R Helpers, I have a list that contains a number of objects, each of them financial statement data from quantmod (although I don't think that knowledge of quantmod is necessary to help with this problem). > str(listfinobj) chr [1:4815] "A.f" "AA.f" "AACC.f" "AAME.f" "AAN.f" "AAON.f" "AAP.f" "AAPL.f"

Now I have a general following up question: Is there a straightforward way to rearrange the following dataset so that all first letters of each column will be combined in one column, all the second letters in a second column, all the third ones in a third column and so on, resulting in 7 columns, i.e. for

hash table access, vector access &c
Hi, I am confused by the way the indexing works. I read a table from a csv file like this: ysmd <- read.csv("ysmd.csv",header=TRUE); ysmd.table <- hash(); for (i in 1:length(ysmd$X.stock)) ysmd.table[ysmd$X.stock[i]] <- ysmd[i,]; the first column ("X.stock") is a string (factor): > ysmd$X.stock[[100]] [1] FLO 7757 Levels: A AA AA- AAAAA AAC AACC AACOU AACOW AADR

aacraid monitoring tool?
I've got myself an Adaptec 2200 HW RAID card to play for couple of days. Tha card uses aacraid device driver. Seems to work nicely, however just wandering if there's a tool (prefferably CLI) for CentOS that can read out RAID configuration data, status of individual drives, maybe even manage (create/delete) RAID devices? Thanks for any and all pointers.

Problem with TCP_wrappers
Hi, I''m running into something weird here. I''m using RH5.1 with tcp_wrappers 7.6. The syntax for hosts.allow and hosts.deny is: <service list> : <access list> [ : <shell_command> ] Everything works when I _don''t_ use the shell_command. I used the _exact_ line as in the man-pages utilising "safe_finger" (comes with tcp_wrappers), tcpdchk

ipportfw - security
Hi Are there any known security holes or necessary precautions in using port forwarding with ipportfw? I'm planning on forwarding ports from an outer firewall/router (connected to the Internet) to a host in the DMZ, then on from the DMZ host to the inner firewall, and finally from the inner firewall to some host on the inside. Thanks, Jens jph@strengur.is From mail@mail.redhat.com Wed

A problem here getting winbind traffic to be encrypted using Kerberos. I have set up a test environment with a pair of servers (actually lxc containers): - samba server (ubuntu 16.04, stock samba 4.3.11) - client machine (ubuntu 16.04) joined with "net ads join" and winbind The client machine has the following in /etc/samba/smb.conf: ------- [global] #netbios name = client-ad
