aaccli on recent conrollers?
I have just built a new SunFire X4100 server with an Adaptec 2230SLP RAID card using FreeBSD 6.2-PRE kernel (from September 20). Everything is working extremely well except I cannot run the aaccli utility on this controller. When I try to open the controller, it gives this error: Command Error: <The current AFAAPI.DLL is too old to work with the current controller software.> On my other X4100 with the same RAID card but FreeBSD 6.0, aaccli works just fine. On my 6.2-PRE wi...

Trouble with Paste and Quotes and List Objects
Dear R Helpers, I have a list that contains a number of objects, each of them financial statement data from quantmod (although I don't think that knowledge of quantmod is necessary to help with this problem). > str(listfinobj) chr [1:4815] "A.f" "AA.f" "AACC.f" "AAME.f" "AAN.f" "AAON.f" "AAP.f" "AAPL.f" "AAT.f" "AATI.f" "AAU.f" ... I can easily pick out the 3rd object in this list. > listfinobj[[3]] [1] "AACC.f" Each of the .f objects has a mildly compli...

sample and rearrange
Dear Wu Gong and Peter Ehlers, thank you very much for your help debugging my script. Now I have a general following up question: Is there a straightforward way to rearrange the following dataset so that all first letters of each column will be combined in one column, all the second letters in a second column, all the third ones in a third column and so on, resulting in 7 columns, i.e. for

mixing strings and numeric doubles in an array
...EWST A 2224 7.54688 -0.026210 3 19950331 EWST 10001 3 EWST A 2244 7.50000 0.006377 However when I call the part of the array dealing with the Ticker, I get: > stocks[2,2] [1] EWST 16185 Levels: A AA AAA AAAB AAABB AAB AABC AAC AACB AACC AACE AACI ... ZVXI Thus, when I reference this later, I get a numeric result and not the symbol? Is this because I need to change the format of stocks[,2] or because it has these extra "levels". For example: # START FIRST PORTFOLIO port1=matrix(0, ctr,3)#matrix for portfol...

aacraid monitoring tool?
I've got myself an Adaptec 2200 HW RAID card to play for couple of days. Tha card uses aacraid device driver. Seems to work nicely, however just wandering if there's a tool (prefferably CLI) for CentOS that can read out RAID configuration data, status of individual drives, maybe even manage (create/delete) RAID devices? Thanks for any and all pointers.

Problem with TCP_wrappers
...combine all the rules into _one_ file "hosts.access" (I think!), and hosts.{allow, deny} don;t function. But it doesn''t look like it''s compiled that way (-DPROCESS_OPTIONS)... Can somebody shine a light on this ? Thanks in advance!
