RE: problem with Too many open files(REASON FOUND)
Hi again, For what it is worth, we found out that MS Outlook on Citrix now and then opens thousands(17-18000) of references(filehandles) to the same PAB(Personal Address Book) files and then give up these references again after a while !? This was what made Samba chooke. We will now remove all PAB access from Outlook. Sorry for wasting Samba mailing list bandwidth ;-) Kind

Does Ctrl-Alt-2 not work anymore?
Since upgrading to 3.1.0, I don''t think the Ctrl-Alt-2 key combination works under VNC anymore... it certainly doesn''t give me the QEmu console... Any suggestions? Slow printing on Windows XP SP2 -- no solution?
I browsed through some posts about this issue which I've been struggling with for a long time now. Why is there no solution? Connection Timeout
This is my first post so first of all I will say hello to everyone. I have rsync configured and working properly on my local network however when I try to connect from a remote host (one located in a different state) the connection times out. I was wondering if there was another way to set the timeout besides in the rsyncd.conf file? As I said the connection works fine on the internal lan, but

Samba4 Secondary DC Replication Concerns
Hi Folks If I have 2 x Samba4 AD DCs, a primary and secondary, am I correct in assuming that if I add a Windows Client to the DOMAIN it should eventually replicate to the secondary DC? Paully

Hard drive write cache
I am looking at ways to harden my asterisk install to prevent computer related issues from happening. I am concerned about about disk write cache. That seems to be a major source of hard drive corruption on power failure. Hard Drive corruption is simply unacceptable for the 99.999% uptime requirements of my Asterisk install that needs to be as reliable as a proprietary PBX. Of course I will be
