Belkin F6C1100-UNV
Hi, it'd be great if you could update the documentation on the website that some models of the Belkin -UNV series will only work with the megatec(_usb) drivers. I wasted a lot of time on trying to get it to work with the wrong drivers, and would like to spare others the pain :-). Thanks, ~David P.S. Some forum post said that the stable megatec drivers don't work 100% with the belkin UPS, but a note on that the stable site that belkin(unv) d...

NUT - Driver looks well, but connection from from client is lost or unavailable
...I have an inexpensive USB-to-serial cable which does not have a unique serial number, so I can only use one of that model at a time, and still uniquely identify it. But this is what it produces: $ ls -l /dev/serial/by-id/ total 0 lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 13 Dec 31 1969 usb-Prolific_Technology_Inc._USB-Serial_Controller-if00-port0 -> ../../ttyUSB0 Although it is unwieldy, the pathnames under /dev/serial/by-id should always point to the correct /dev/ttyUSB? node. -- Charles Lepple clepple at gmail -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... Powercom 600AP USB support
...opic many times here, but I've searched the archives, googled for days, and I simply don't believe, that there is still no solution to this. I'm using a PowerCom BNT-600AP ups with usb port. I've downloaded the latest version from svn, compiled it, and tried to use it: * megatec(_usb) - no luck, it did not find the UPS (I?ve read in this list, that this driver uses the same protocol) * usbhid-ups - no information about the battery, only basic information about the UPS (it's communicated, so it's a start) (this could be the general usb driver?) * powercom - here is th...

New User Questions - With Belkin USB

For the most part, NUT drivers ending in “_usb” (including blazer_usb) do not need a serial device node in /dev. They use libusb to talk directly to the UPS. (If you can reliably read the UPS status with upsc, then the connectivity problem is not at the driver layer.) Can you please...

Merging blzr as blazer (and un-merging voltronic?)
In my opinion, there might be just one problem: the blzr driver doesn't provide anymore two splitted drivers (serial and usb), so this isn't going to be a 'silent update' for those using these drivers (should we provide symlinks or the like?). If this doesn't sound like a problem to you, I'll take care of the rename. Plus, if you could take a look to the blazer-fix pull

Arjen is currently on holidays, but he would ask for testing the blazer support. this blazer drivers will soon replace the megatec ones. so please, if you can, do some testing of the development version. if you also have a USB port, try the *_usb equivalent too. thanks for your contrib, Arnaud -- Linux / Unix Expert R&D - Eaton - http://www.eaton.com/mgeops Network UPS Tools (NUT) Project Leader - http://www.networkupstools.org/ Debian Developer - http://www.debian.org Free Software Developer - http://arnaud.quette.free.fr/ ----------...

[nut-commits] svn commit r1049 - in trunk: . drivers

Is this really needed/desirable? I think this kind of information needs to be put in the AUTHORS document. There are many more people on this list that put a lot of effort in NUT, without claiming credit so openly. Just my 2c. Best regards, Arjen > Mod...

New User Questions - With Belkin USB
Hello all and thanks. I read here <https://mn3m.info/posts/configure-ups-monitor-using-nut-on-debian/> while searching around for my issue's resolution. In this I see that this nut driver is creating and using an entry in /dev (in this case ttyS0). So I "ll tty*" and see nothing with nut. Since this is a USB UPS, I suppose I should be looking for something in /dev/ttyUSB*.
