[Patch] Fix blktap to work with a bootloader
If a Xen guest has a bootloader configured, then it will fail to start on a blktap image. The problem is blkdev_uname_to_file, which cannot parse the "tap:aio:$filename" image strings: it tries to split the string apart at ":" and assign the result to a 2-tuple, and this results in a python error if the split results in three or more strings. The fix is to split only at the

This problem is so ubiquitous to Web Development, pertaining the fact that the web is stateless, i.e. how to maintain form''s state between postback. syslog question
...mmented out the xconsole stuff, and uncommented the part where he (joey) says he likes to output to /dev/tty8 (which is what I want to do as well). It works inasmuch as it sends the data to /dev/tty8 - but it keeps sending it to every other tty as well! I do not want to be a pain, but could someone _please_ send me a copy of their /etc/syslog.conf that enables the turning off of the logging to the tty1-7, so I can get some work done with the firewall on! Thanks, Chris

Help with PLSR with jack knife
Hi I am analysing a dataset of 40 samples each with 90,000 intensity measures for various peptides. I am trying to identify the Biomarkers (i.e. most significant peptides). I beleive that PLS with jack knifing, or alternativeley CMV(cross-model-validation) are multivariateThe 40 samples belong to four different groups. I have managed to conduct the plsr using the commands: BHPLS1 <-

[LLVMdev] Simpler way to insert instructions into the program
...nsert(BI, InstPointer); Historically this was neccesary because inserting the instruction invalidated the iterator operand. Because this hasn't been the case for quite a while, we can stop doing this, even in the cases where we still need to do inserts. Let me know if you have any questions, _please_ start using this though. It makes the code so much simpler. :) -Chris http://llvm.cs.uiuc.edu/ http://www.nondot.org/~sabre/Projects/

Boot prompt ignored
Using a boot prompt without a menu makes Syslinux 6.03-6 booting the default label only, ignoring the label that was entered. Auto completion of the defined labels works, though. Can anyone confirm this? Further, removing the DEFAULT <label> definition makes Syslinux panic, ignoring any boot label or command entered. Instead, without a default, I'd expect it to wait for user input,

With the resulting binaries, the aforementioned strange behavior was _not_ replicated -- _please_, do not just take this as valid / true; this same test _must_ be performed by others so to corroborate this result. But, using binaries from Fedora, 6.03-6.fc24, the problematic behavior _can_ be replicated. It has also been replicated by at least one additional user of ArchLinux, by using bi...

[LLVMdev] Mirroring of LLVM repository
...gt; repository into git/hg/whatever. Please don't do that :) Let me add to what Anton said: I can only speak for git-svn, but the main burden it imposes on LLVM's SVN repository are attempts of mirroring the _complete_ history. Unfortunatly, a naive `git svn clone` will do just that -- so _please_ avoid this at all cost. If you want to use git-svn to work with LLVM's SVN repository, please only clone the latest SVN revision using git-svn's `--revision <n>` option (combined with a huge log window: `--log-window-size 999999`). You may find the following script helpful: #!/b...
