That would be a showstopper for me. I _need_ ices to terminate if it cannot
connect successfully. This ought to be an option, IMHO.

SIP and Voice on different nets
?I have connection with two networks (by VoIP provider setup)
1 - 10.10.10.0/24 = SIP
2 - 10.10.11.0/24 = Voice
How to tell Asterisk send / receive voice traffic not on SIP network. When
I look into dumps, I see Asterisk trying to use SIP net for voice
Unfortunately, I _need_ to use two networks instead of one?

Samba local user without /etc/passwd

In short: while my samba server is connected to the AD domain, I would
also like to have some local (non domain) user for other tasks.
It is my understanding that for a local samba user I _need_ to create
the relative unix user (using useradd) and then use the samba-provided
tool smbpasswd. I simply wonder if it is possible to create local users
using _only_ smbpasswd (or equivalent), without messing with the real
local unix user table stored in "/etc/passwd" (hence the world...

RFC: Drop support for old style scalar TBAA
...access
metadata into the "new" struct path aware TBAA metadata for 3 years now.
The only way to actually generate old style TBAA was explicitly through
the IRBuilder API. I think this is a good time for dropping support for
old style scalar TBAA."
Are there active users of LLVM who _need_ the old style scalar TBAA and
cannot use the new struct path TBAA metadata? If so, or if you object
the change for other reasons, please respond here.
The motivation here is to reduce complexity in our TBAA analysis if
feasible.
Thanks,

Help with PXE "Out of Memory" error?
Gene,
I'm lurking on this issue. Just in general it's fascinating because I
basically use syslinux in a monkey-see-monkey do manner.
Can you explain why you used the menu entries that way? What they actually do?
You mentioned logging... How is the enabled/configured?
Inquiring minds want to know and links to docs will do :)

That would sound like a poor solution, a connection to one of the
servers could die for various reasons, killing all connections would
seem an extreme action.

Asterisk and call delivery to connected PABX
Hello all!
I'm VERY new in using VoIP. I'm looking for any tip or trick to connect a
physically PABX behind an Asterisk-System(or similar) via an SIP to Analog-
or ISDN-Converter. The point is, I _need_ to deliver calls to extensions in
the connected PABX directly (in ISDN-speech "DDI" (DirectDialIn)) without
intervention of an operator. Is this technically possible, and if yes HOW?
Tips for Hardware-Converters (SIP->ISDN(EDSS1), SIP->Analog) are also
appreciated.
Cheers,

kvm with bridged network
hi,
we like to use our server to host many guest system. we use these guests
as test for our product testing which can be installed trough pxe
install (we reinstall these guest very often). unfortunately it''s not
possible to use routed network with pxe boot. so we _need_ bridged setup
kvm with config as described in:
http://www.redhat.com/docs/en-US/Red_Hat_Enterprise_Linux/6-Beta/html/Virtualization/sect-Virtualization-Network_Configuration-Bridged_networking_with_libvirt.html
is it possible with shorewall?
eg how can i add this rules to shorewall:

Long Delay on Fresh Windows 7 Clients
For testing purposes, I am running Windows 7 on a VM (VMWare), reverting to "fresh install" Windows 7 frequently. This Windows 7 client, needs to access a share on a local Samba server (Samba 3.0.23a-1 running on Fedora Core 4).
When I type \\sambahost\sharename, a prompt for the username and password will eventually appear (and let me authenticate successfully) but it takes almost

R-0640 Windows
From: "Heberto Ghezzo" <heberto at MEAKINS.Lan.McGill.CA>
Please be patient: rw0640 was only released very late on Monday, and
this is not my primary occupation! In some cases you _need_ the
versions of pre-built packages for rw0640: there is no version of sm
for rw0640 there, yet. I have one working, but not yet fully tested. (I
put one up briefly but removed it pending testing on the release
version of r0640.) If you are in hurry, you need to build from source.
Please remember...

Try one of "gdb64" or "gdb-64".

schedule a fallback and / 2 sources streaming at 1 server ???
...use a tool for that.
Liquidsoap [1] is a solution: it's a source client that can relay
other source clients, and manage a fallback between them, possibly
with transitions. Then liquidsoap creates the stream and sends it to
icecast, it's seamless for the listener. And in case you don't _need_
to have two separate source clients, let me precise that the fallback,
like any other operation in liquidsoap, works as well with source
clients than with internal sources such as playlists.
Feel free to ask on savonet-users at lists.sf.net if you have any questions.

instant fallback to zap in case of sip/iax/xyz-failure
...host immediately(at least within 5
seconds) so i can reroute the call without having to wait for a host that
is probably dead...
this seems to be possible with iax and CHANUNAVAIL,
(http://bugs.digium.com/bug_view_advanced_page.php?bug_id=3360&history=1),
though i haven't tried it.
also i _need_ to use sip, iax (currently) is not an option.
is there any mechanism in asterisk that allows to get the vital sip-status
of a foreign host?! thanks for your input!!! ;-)

Problem mounting with credentials file
I am running Gentoo. I am trying to get my /etc/fstab to automatically
mount a remote Samba share at boot time. I have the following in my
/etc/fstab file:
//192.168.0.2/share /mnt/share cifs
auto,credentials=/home/user/.smbpasswd,uid=1000,umask=002,user 0 0
This works fine if I specify the username and password in the /etc/fstab
file. However, if I try to use the credentials file

RPM dependency rant
So I'd like to try out rc3 (been a happy user of rc2 since it came
out). I download the RPMS and try to do an upgrade, only to find that
libao and vorbis-tools depends on 'libcurl' and 'libasound' which are
not part of Red Hat 7.1 (looks like curl is in 7.2, but God knows
where to get libasound).
In addition, the RPMs want libcrypto.so.0, while 7.1 and 7.2
have .1.
So
