[LLVMdev] Unique shape and types
...to do that analysis on the LLVM IR itself. :) > > Ah, OK. So you propose to do type inference in (all) front-ends? Or maybe on a higher IR? Again, wouldn't it be easier for dynamic language front-end implementations if type inference was just a pass on the LLVM IR? I would surely _love_ to have thins kind of feature :) Nicolas

[LLVMdev] Proposal for a Google summer of code project for the Java frontend.
...VMs can execute standard applications (last time I checked, the JVM can run tomcat), and the implementations follow the VM specifications. The CLI implementation lacks generics and overflow detection, but this is not top priority in my mind. Among many features, here are the ones that I'd _love_ to see implemented: 1) Compilation optimizations for type-safe languages (including type-based alias analysis) 2) Hotspot-like vm: switching between interpreter and compiler, applying different optimizations depending on a method's hotness, doing on-stack replacement 3) Implementing a garbag...

Updated Patch to chan_agent.c for PREACKANNOUNCE
...ternal;1001 On another machine, the DB shows _nothing_, yet the AgentCallbackLogin application works correctly (logging agents in and out), and shows the correct mapping on the CLI during a login. Still, the DB has _no trace_ of the Agents. I can't explain the difference in behavior, and would _love_ to have someone solve that mystery for me. I'm hoping that I am missing something obvious in the interaction between the Queue command and the Agents channel, and that some kind soul here will educate me. Otherwise, I think I might be off to doing more work in "C" than I ever though...

[LLVMdev] Proposal for a Google summer of code project for the Java frontend.
I would like to see the code of your front end. I started working with llvm-java, since it was what was available. It does not run yet (small compilation issues, almost done), but the design seems fine. It can run (when setup complete) small pieces of Java code, but no real application, since it does not support exception handling (jsr/ret bytecodes) yet,nor garbage collection. Implementing these

ATA186 v3.1 SIP - Attended transfer: NO JOY
...um.com/pipermail/asterisk-users/2003-August/018388.html Is this: http://lists.digium.com/pipermail/asterisk-users/2003-August/018414.html also related ? By the way, canreinvite=no as suggested by Mark in one of the slightly related conversations on bugs.digium.com does not help... I would really _love_ to know why this is and to see it fixed somehow. A bounty would be in order. Can anyone comment on this ?? On a related note: If the consultation ends in a failure (user unavailable or unable to talk) the way to back out is hitting flash once if the remote hung up (ata doesn't give any tone at...

Icecast RTP support
Hi, Does Icecast has RTP support for streaming OGG/Vorbis and OGG/theora media files? If so, then please give me some pointers on how to configure my Icecast server to listen to RTP requests. If it's not available, then is the inclusion of this feature, in plans for future release of the product? Thanks -- Subhabrata Bhattacharya

samba-tng-alpha-2.3.tar.bz2
...39;ll do another alpha release :) - smbd receives win-9x/smbclient requests, it now passes them on to DCE/RPC functions (e.g api_NetShareEnum calls srv_net_share_enum on loop-back. api_NetServerTOD calls srv_net_srv_tod. there _isn't_ a srv_net_server_enum, so i am a bit lost, there, i'd _love_ to know what microsoft is doing, there...) ok, have fun. luke <a href=" mailto:lkcl@samba.org" > Luke Kenneth Casson Leighton </a> <a href=" http://cb1.com/~lkcl" > Samba and Network Development </a> <a href=" http://samba.org"...

John Terpstra Update
Hi, I'd like to apologise to those who did not attend events in Boston at which I spoke, or was present for book signings, for not doing more to create greater awareness and for poor publicity on my part. (It was never my intent to act in secret.) :) In response to requests: 1) In future I will notify this list of events I will be present at. (That may encourage other Samba-Team members to

lmList, tapply() and lm()
Howdee, *** I know that the lmList() function exists, yet I don't want to use it. *** Would anyone be kind enough to tell how I can apply the function lm() to each level of a given factor so to obtain the intercept and slope for each factor level within a matrix? For instance, suppose a dataframe containing 3 variables: id, x and y. I want to compute the function lm() for each level

Recommendation for home NAS external JBOD
Hi, my oi151 based home NAS is approaching a frightening "drive space" level. Right now the data volume is a 4*1TB Raid-Z1, 3 1/2" local disks individually connected to an 8 port LSI 6Gbit controller. So I can either exchange the disks one by one with autoexpand, use 2-4 TB disks and be happy. This was my original approach. However I am totally unclear about the 512b vs 4Kb issue.

Corrupted index files in 0.99.12.1
Hi - I've got two copies of Dovecot installed on my server (don't worry, talking to two different sockets for authentication, with two different sets of filenames using options in configure), and I found at least one instance where the index file for my INBOX (on my own account, in fact) got corrupted. So badly so that when I connected via IMAP and selected my INBOX, it said there were no
