Centos 4.4 works on 965 (I'm talking about Intel DG965OT). Kernel
options are "all-generic-ide pci=nommconf". Set sata controller to AHCI
mode in BIOS. Onboard network card is not recognized at all. So mobo
works, but just b...

Intel 965 Chipset on 4.4 ?
I have a nice new 965 chipset mobo with core 2 duo cpu. I was wondering
if anyone has any experiences with this chipset and CPU with 4.4 ?
Does the jmicron sata/pata interface work ?
Are both cores recongnized with the right kernel ?
Does EIST work ?
Or should I wait for Centos 5 ?

CentOS v4.5 and Intel 965/G33BY chipsets - PATA support
Greetings CentOS users,
I have run into a hardware issue with the Intel 965 chipset. It appears
that the latest kernel doesn't support the Marvell PATA controller. I can
kickstart the computer, but after the OS is installed the DVD drive can't
be accessed.
There are patches against 2.6.18 for the Marvell PATA controller here:

[ANNOUNCE] xf86-video-intel 2.6.2

stable than previously. Notable fixes include a significant BO memory
usage reduction (which many have suffered from with compositing),
textured XV suppor twith KMS, and rotation support with KMS. Some
infrequent failure to render/xv with GEM on 965 (dmesg warnings about
being unable to bind objects) should also be fixed.
But perhaps the exciting thing for most people will be the dynamic front
buffer allocation. We nearly slipped this into 2.6.0, but decided that
it was just a little too new. Well, turns out it was actually in good
shape,...

Redhat 5 delayed until march, Centos april then?
Hi, like (I'm guessing) alot of other folks, we were eager for the
new release of CentOS/RedHat to support some of the newer intel
technology (965 chipset mostly (ich8?)) I read today that Redhat 5 has
been delayed until March of 2007, which would presumably put the release
of CentOS 5 sometime in April.
Does the CentOS developer team have any intention of releasing (possibly
a new version of CentOS 4) which would allow us to use these new...

registering samba in wins
...regularly send name
registration requests to wins. Is there a way to do this?
barring that, is there some interface I can query on samba before
sending it a kill signal to make sure there are no open files? I would
like a 'gracefull' way to have samba resatart.

Infinite loops with no side effects
...assumes that
infinite loops eventually terminate in a few places, and will sometimes
delete them in practice. There is currently no clean way to opt out of this
behavior from languages where it's not valid.
This is the subject of a long-standing LLVM bug:

Shutdown Problem
Hi
I'm hoping someone can help.
I'm running fc5 with nut 2.0.3. I just recently acquired 2 Gamatronic
SmartCompact ups for my Linux boxes. As you can see from the info below,
everything looks ok. When I unplug the ups from the wall, after a while, the
computer shutdowns very rudely. That it is just turns off. No scrolling down
of processes shutting down It does not seem shutdown

I am attempting to build a Multinomial Logit model with dummy variables of
the following form:
Dependent Variable : 0-8 Discrete Choices
Dummy Variable 1: 965 dummy varsghpow at student.monash.edu.augh@gp1.com
Dummy Variable 2: 805 dummy vars
The data set I am using has the dummy columns pre-created, so it's a table

ah, you are quite right! I'd searched "recursion" to look for bugs, but
the problem (as described in #965) is more general than that. (I'm
quite familiar with Haskell, in which termination vs. nontermination is
discussed much more than it is in C.)...
