...icular reason, the machine just reboots abruptly. When it loads up again, I cannot see an indication that there's anything wrong in the configuration. By the way, the machine is running like this for few months, and no changes were made lately. Machine has 2GB RAM, RAID-5 disk array and a Xeon 933Mhz CPU. I have been using a laptop computer of Pentium III 1.13 Ghz. I heard that AMD's Athlon has excellent floating point capacity. So I bought a Athlon 2200+ laptop yesterday. I expected that new Athlon 2200+ will be twice as fast as the P III 1.13 GB. Hello, Can somebody recommend CentOS-OK, dual socket motherboards for compute elements? A quick look up at Intel pages suggests they are thinking of them as "server boards", but then they recommend them as "for SMB", I'm somewhat puzzled about it.
