I need to build up a few servers and routers, and am wondering how FreeBSD 9.1 is shaping up. Will it be likely to be more stable and robust than 9.0-RELEASE? Are there issues that will have to wait until 9.2-RELEASE to be fixed? Opinions welcome. --Brett Glass

Hi, I tried to upgrade one of my servers from FreeBSD 9.1 to 9.2 with freebsd-update upgrade -r 9.2-RELEASE after the first reboot the system hangs on boot with Invalid format ... BTX halted It's a Supermicro X9SCL-F mainboard. I upgraded FreeBSD from 9.0 to 9.1 REL sucessfull, when 9.1 was released. What happend with the upgrade to 9.2? Back in July, this error was discussed briefly on the mailing list(s). It appears that a fix (r238182) was submitted for inclusion in 9.1 (early). This problem still appears in 9.1-RC1. Is anyone aware of any specific problems with SuSE 9.1 Pro in regards to running Samba as a domain controller? I have been trying for a couple of weeks to get it setup but keep running into one roadblock or another. Half of the time I can't see the DC at all unless I disable the SuSE Firewall altogether, other times I am able to see the DC just not connect if I have ports 137, 138, 139
