OT: Blackberry and Asterisk voicemail files.
Hi,
I recently upgraded the firmware on my Blackberry 8700 to 4.2, this
seems to give
it the ability to play wav files.
I wondered if anybody out there had managed to get their BB to play
the wav files as
attached to the Asterisk voicemail emails?
Mine seems to ignore the attachment.
I am using BES 4.1 for sending these emails out via Exchange 2003 if that...

¿Alguna explicación para este fenómeno? (Relativo al uso de memoria)
...Tengo un df relativamente chiquito:
> dim(loans)
[1] 15172 22
> object.size(loans)
7488144 bytes
Sin embargo,
empresas <- split(loans, loans$number_id)
length(empresas)
#8748
object.size(empresas)
# 50643907728 bytes
Es decir, el objeto resultante de partir un df de 15000 filas en 8700
dfs ocupa 5GB.
¿Alguna idea de por qué ocurre esto?
(Uso R 3.0.1 en un Xubuntu 12.04 de 64 bits).
Un saludo,

pbinom( ) function (PR#8700)
Full_Name: Chanseok Park
Version: R 2.2.1
OS: RedHat EL4
Submission from: (NULL) (130.127.112.89)
pbinom(any negative value, size, prob) should be zero.
But I got the following results.
I mean, if a negative value is close to zero, then pbinom() calculate
pbinom(0, size, prob). dbinom() also behaves similarly.

Efficient distance calculation on big matrix
Hi All,
I'm working on analyzing a large data set, lets asume that
dim(Data)=c(1000,8700). I want to calculate the canberra distance
between the columns of this matrix, and using a toy example ('test' is
a matrix filled with random numbers 0-1):
> system.time(d<-as.matrix(dist(t(test), method = "canberra", diag = FALSE, upper = FALSE, p = 2)))

Can you recommend web links on confirming permissions are appropriate on the AD DC?
Maybe switching back to winbind is the right choice? Setting up sssd is just a lot easier.

Need help with Tripp Lite SMART1300LCDT NUT v2.7.3
Here are couple of things I tried.
1) Changed the USB cable. Same problem
2) I put an old CyberPower CP550SL w/USB&SERIAL and it recognize it right away via the USB port
I don?t know if that will give you any insight or eliminate certain things with the Tripp Lite SMART1300LCDT or not.

Multiple Shoutcast Sources
Hi all,
I have set up a an icecast server and have a Shoutcast
DSP source connected. Is it possible to set up
multiple shoutcast compat ports and shoutcast mount
points. When I try to set up another port pair (8700
and 8701) and connect it says that the shoutcast mount
point (live.nsv) is currently in use.
I set up a seperate mount point in the <mount> config
and it also will not use the password that I set up in
that config, only the global source password.
Any help would be appreciated.

Avaya 8300 - Asterisk integration using H.323
Hi everyone,
I was wondering if anyone on this group has successfully integrated Avaya 8300 or 8700 and Asterisk using H.323 trunk and would be willing to share configurations and/or comment on the voice quality achieved.
Currently we have Avaya 8300 integrated with Asterisk over a Q.SIG trunk, but we need to put Asterisk in a different geographical location from the PBX and need to explore ot...

how to ignore NA with "NA" or "NULL"
...eeds to me automatic for every files.
So my question in this post is: how to ignore (or do nothing with them if
you prefer) NA files with NA correlation coefficients?
The function for filling files (where there's the problem) is:
na.fill <- function(x, y){
i <- is.na(x[1:8700,1])
xx <- y[1:8700,1]
new <- data.frame(xx=xx)
x[1:8700,1][i] <- predict(lm(x[1:8700,1]~xx, na.action=na.exclude),
new)[i]
x
}
My error message is: Error in model.frame.default(formula = x[1:8700, 1] ~

Posix Problem, difftime
...f problems using date time data that has been converted into a POSIXt and POSIXlt classes. I have hourly time series data from 1900 that has been converted from text data.
I assume most of my problems come from a mis-underdanding of the POSIX class. My matrix named (aa) for this year is approx 8700 by 4. When I try to calculate the length of posit column ( which is the date and time) I get
> length(aa$posit)
[1] 9
When I try to combined POSIX columns or manipulate them like matrices, I have problems such as
> cbind(aa$posit, aa$posit)
