SCSI Raid
I hate to bring up the raid card wars again, but... :) It's pretty well established that 3ware is a good "real" hardware raid card for SATA drives. So what is a good card for SCSI raid? My searches have come up with Adaptec and LSI as the main players here. Are the LSI MegaRAID cards "real" hardware raid? Which cards can give good raid 5 performance? -- Bowie

As I've said before, I have a number of phones that I've converted from Packet8's Virtual Office to work with my Asterisk stetup. They are basically Leadtek 85XX SIP devices with Astra 390 phones connected. I've been investigating reprogramming the Astras to say something other than "Virtual Office powered by Packet8" but when I try ADSIProg I get something about CPE not being available. I'm afraid to say but I think that I'm going t...

40TB File System Recommendations
Hello All I have a brand spanking new 40TB Hardware Raid6 array to play around with. I am looking for recommendations for which filesystem to use. I am trying not to break this up into multiple file systems as we are going to use it for backups. Other factors is performance and reliability. CentOS 5.6 array is /dev/sdb So here is what I have tried so far reiserfs is limited to 16TB ext4

Polycom IP 500 Voicemail
Hello All, I have some Polycom IP 500 phones that I would like to have configured for direct dialing to our voice mail system. So far I have been unable to get the hard button labeled Voice Mail to connect to Asterisk without first passing through the message center prompts. I have followed all the Admin Guide instructions regarding the phones .cfg files and using
