pigeonhole ereject vs reject
...t a mail after that DISCARD it by consider legal implications - there is nothing between > The above is not entirely true. You are assuming that your MTA it's sending a 2xx accepting the message immediately before delivery via LMTP completes. With PRDR (in Exim for example, or without) a 5xx during the LMTP transport should issue a 5xx error back to the sending MTA, not a 2xx. Therefore, there would be no NDR generated by the receiving system. The senders MTA would have to generate the NDR, but that's not my problem at that point. Of course WITHOUT PRDR this is a little bit more...

Polling DND status of a Linksys SPA9xx/5xx phone?
Hi, Is there a way to poll the DND status of a Linksys SPA9xx/5xx phone? The reason I ask is that I'm trying to implement DND + BLF on asterisk. However, the DND softkey on the Linksys phone does not send any feature codes to asterisk. On the flip side, if you disable the Vertical Activation Codes on the phone, then dialing the feature code doesn't displa...

Failover Routing
Hi, I am doing failover routing based on 2 dial commands. First route sends back 4xx response and I don't want it to try 2nd route when it is 4xx response. Can we do failover routing based on SIP 5xx response only ? Thanks Deepika -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... Cisco SPA 5xx/3xx/9xx phones don't respond to SIPAddHeader(Call-Info: answer-after=0)
All other phones we work with will auto-answer when we do this: [macro-paging1way] exten => s,1,SIPAddHeader(Call-Info: answer-after=0) exten => s,n,Page(${PAGINGLIST}) exten => s,n, Hangup The SPA phones simply ring. I have verified that Auto Answer Page is set to yes (the default). We've tried a variety of firmware versions and phone ages, going back to an old 942 and new 504s.

So the sender knows that the mail was not accepted, and that it MUST NOT try to resend the mail again (as with 4xx status codes). Y...

pigeonhole ereject vs reject
Currently pigeonhole supports reject which would generate a NDR for each message. (If I understand the current documentation) Using Dovecot LMTP it would be more optimal to kick a 5xx back to the primary MTA to reject the delivery rather than generating more back scatter NDRs. Anyone know if this is possible now (to forgo the NDR)'s or do we need to wait for ereject ? If so, how much work is involved? -- Robert inoc.net!rblayzor http://inoc.net/

postfix and mail origin checks
hi, Whats the 'robust' way to make sure email to a specific destination is only accepted if it came over the localhost:25 or /usr/sbin/sendmail route ? anything else should get a 5xx error. Emails to other destinations should remain unaffected. Using postfix/c4. Had a look around, and header_checks might be one way to go. -- Karanbir Singh : http://www.karan.org/ : 2522219 at icq
