[Bug 28107] New: [NV31]
...ReportedBy: finest.bug at googlemail.com QAContact: xorg-team at lists.x.org Hello guys, I use your nouveau (git of 13.03.2010) driver on my ArchLinux system. When I boot my PC first time a day, it works just all fine. KMS switches to my preferred screen resolution of 1280x1024 at 85Hz. But after a quick reboot, the output on my screen is cut on the left side. My Monitor tells me it's running on 1024x1024 at 92Hz but the OS is telling me it runs at 1024x1024 at 85Hz. I can't set it to 85Hz, because it says me it's running at 85Hz. Your Finest Bug -- Configure bugma...

Battlefield 2 & Battlefield 2142 : startup resolution issue

I tried setting the screen resolution to 800x600 @85Hz in the Nvidia control panel. However the game still crashes out with the previously mentioned error (xrandr). I've tried all the fixes for Profile files listed on AppDB. However it appears the game forces a resolutio...

Re: screen fonts -- LCD and Analog Connections ...
...ome eccentric Windows timings that are _not_ the exact same as VESA. Or maybe you have configured your monitor for X with bandwidths that exceed the typical VESA modelines. E.g., did you upgrade from a CRT and just leave your X configuration intact? If so, then you might be sending 70, 72, 75 or 85Hz modes for 1024x768. And even though your LCD might support that analog signaling, it's not as ideal as using the VESA standard modes (typically 60Hz for 1024x768 on a LCD). You need to open up your LCD user's manual, find the resolution you want, and input the _exact_ 1) Bandwidth 2) Hori...

Display Frequency unstable
...have just installed xen with debian package. (linux-2.6.18-6-xen-686) Now, when i boot with the new entry "Xen 3.3.1", the display of my xorg is unstable. I have edited /etc/X11/xorg.conf and i have forced the frequency to 85 hz. When i launch display resolution in gnome, i see 1024*768@85hz. But my screen is very unstable. I''m thinking that configuring the display via xorg.conf as no effect. Someone can explain me where is the problem and why xorg.conf have no effect on my display configuration ? Thank you in advance Best regards Pat _____________________________________...

[Bug 16952] New: Bad video modes

Furthermore, according to the log, there are lots of doublescan modes. When anything switches to 800x600 mode, X picks a doublescan mode, which won't work. If I manually do 'xrandr -s 800x600 -r 60' the mode is good. Additionally, the included X log contains a line l...

Display mode settings and Everquest
...window management in wine, with and without virtual desktop, windowed and full screen in EQ and various combinations of each. I've even lowered my X configuration to 16-bit color and did the same in eqclient.ini and nothing works. I've played around with refresh rates. My new monitor can do 85hz, 75hz and 60hz where my old one was set for 60hz. The numbers of the backtrace change, but the rest of the information is the same. Could anyone help me out with some working configurations? my xorg.conf # nvidia-settings: X configuration file generated by nvidia-settings # nvidia-settings: versi...

Wine 20050310 / Linux 2.6.11 crashes on munmap()
I have an application ("The Rosetta Stone" 2.0.7a) which segfaults during the startup splash screen. According to strace() it is trying to munmap() an address (0x7a6b3000) which was never mmap()'d. I get identical behavior with Wine 20050111 and kernels 2.6.9 / 2.6.10 (I use gentoo-sources). I noticed some people had similar issues upgrading from 2.6.9 to 2.6.10.
