Submission from: (NULL) (212.159.16.190)
In /usr/share/doc/r-doc-html/manual/R-data.html (at least that's where
it is on Debian...) the documentation is unclear. Comments below.
The paragraph has unclear references, and I have no idea what
it actually means.

wxruby unfriendly to other threads?
I''ve seen a few e-mails about multithreading with respect to wxruby
but nothing recent. Unless I''m mistaken, and that may be, there
still appear to be problems.
The following code seems to hang my spawned thread in favor of the
wxruby event loop:
Thread.new do
puts "in thread"
loop do
sleep 5
puts "looping"
end
end
puts "main

Bitmap memory leaks (Bug 251)?
I see that this problem was noted a while ago (http://rubyforge.org/
tracker/index.php?func=detail&aid=251&group_id=35&atid=218) but it
seems not to have received much attention. Any chance that it will
be looked at anytime soon? So far, I prefer wxRuby to Ruby/Tk
because of that closer coupling with the native window manager.
However, the memory leak is just murdering me.

wxruby and threading
I stand corrected. My threads priority is must be massively lower
than wxruby. "looping" does print but not even close to every five
seconds as in my code example.

Asterisk 1.2.24 simultaneous call limits.
Hi everyone,
I am running into wall today with simultaneous call limits. I have two
Asterisk machines (fast 3GHz C2D with 2GB of ram). I tried to create a
lot of sip calls from one machine to the other by issuing AMI Originate
commands to one machine. The machine that makes calls plays a message
(demo-intruct) upon the other machine answer. The machine receives the
calls just waits for 40 seconds

Libguestfs previously ran the strings(1) utility on untrusted files.
Strings could parse BFD headers in an unsafe way, leading to possible
arbitrary code execution. Libguestfs now runs strings with a flag to
ensure it does not try to parse BFD headers. Th...

[PATCH 0/3] generator: Allow returned strings to be annotated as devices.
If we want to permit more than 255 drives to be added, then we will
have to add the disks to the same virtio-scsi target using different
unit (LUN) numbers.
Unfortunately SCSI LUN enumeration in the Linux is not deterministic
(eg. two disks with target=0, lun=[0,1] can be enumerated as /dev/sda
or /dev/sdb randomly). Dealing with that will require some very
complex device name translation on the
