OK, I've figured out which drive is bad. Before I go any further let me give a brief HD configuration explanation. The primary IDE has a 80gig(Master) HD, and an internal zip drive(Slave) connected to it. Hello Folks, Has anyone had production experience using * w/ MySQL Blobs to store sound files? The application I am working on requires all user data resides in a database. I am currently reading/writing the files to disk via a phpagi scripts but I would love to read the blob into a variable in the dial plan, etc. It seems like a waste of resources to write and delete the file.

I've just noticed an odd bit of behaviour with 4.2. I'm using FTP to send a number of large binary files from a windows 2000 machine to a CentOS 4.2 system. Both systems are similarly configured (Athlon64 3200+, 1gig RAM, 80gig system disk, 1.2TB scratch RAID 0 array, gigabit ether to a dumb switch on which they are the only hosts). On the very first file, about 17.5gigs, I got about 30MB/sec. Not spectacular, but reasonably fast. On subsequent files, I only get about 25% of that throughput and vsftpd on the CentOS...
