Asterisk sends packets on 8004/udp
For the life of me can't figure out why the Asterisk server generates an
enormous quantity of outgoing packets on port 8004/udp. They seem to have no
effect whether they are blocked by the firewall or not.
We're running SIP. Everything appears to be OK (except a large number of
ChanSpy write buffer overflow messages, which I also don't understand).
How can I discover whether these packets are desirable or not? W...

new ogg stream
Thomas was gracious enough to provide a second stream of his beats.dk
vorbis broadcast.
http://vorbis.arkena.com:8004/test.ogg is 128kbps
http://vorbis.arkena.com:8004/test_64.ogg is 64kbps
Now even us lowspeed dsl people can enjoy :)
Everyone should give a listen to the 64kbps and see what they think of
the quality (it's being reencoded from 128kbsp Ogg).

H.323 trunking
Hi,
Could someone help me on configuring a H.323 trunk.
I am trying to set up the following scenario:
[SIPphone(2004)]--[asterisk/oh323/asterisk-oh323]--H323Trunk--[PBX]--[H323phone/(8004)]
I am using the following versions:
Linux CentOS 3.3/2.4.21-.EL.co
asterisk 1.0.1
pwlib_1.5.2
openh323_1.12.2
asterisk-oh323-0.6.3b
Calling from Asterisk (2004) to the H.323phone
(61-8004) gives me the following error
-- Executing Dial("SIP/2004-8350",
"H323/192.168.204.130"...

Interesting maybe I was running "net cache flush" the wrong way. I was
doing it after stopping winbind then I would start winbind back up.
Today I tried it without stopping winbind and logged in as jefftest.
The jefftest account now correctly shows with id....

Icecast not listening ports?

lynx http://localhost:8008
When I access it on my computer, safari says I cannot connect on the domain
eg: melody.domain.com:8004 (domain.com being example domain)
Netstat doesn't seem to show icecast listening on the 8008 and 8009 ports
either...
Anything I missed?
Cheers!

Suggestion for merging xl save/restore/migrate/migrate-receive
Hi,
As we talked in
http://lists.xen.org/archives/html/xen-devel/2013-09/msg00211.html , I have a
suggestion: what about merging xl save/restore/migrate/migrate-receive?
Here is the description: xl-migrate.rst
Also there is a workaround for the xl migration daemon example: xl-migrate-socat.rst
Patch for the example: xen-xl-migrate-socat.patch

Finding out on which port mongrel is running
Hi *,
What''s the best way to find out on which port mongrel is running from
within Rails?
I have a cluster of mongrels behind a balancer (Pen) behind a webserver
(Apache).
In Rails,
request.port return 80
and
request.env[''SERVER_PORT''] returns 3000 (the port of Pen)
Any ideas?
Cheers,

estara softphone problem
Hi all, I installed the estara softphone and had no
problem registering it with asterisk. I could make
calls to other hardware SIP phones (Cisco 7960) from
the softphone, but I couldn't call the softphone from
the Cisco 7960s. The asterisk console gave me an error
message saying "unable to create channel" to my
softphone. What could be the problem? I searched the
archive with no
