Drivers for IBM ServeRAID 7k in Nevada?
...has them built in, Shouldn''t that mean they are in sNV too? I''m booting off the network and off DVD, and just before the installer starts I get a message about ''no disks found.'' Format does the same thing. What driver module should be used for the ServeRAID 7k. I did use the ServeRAID Support CD to define the 6 single drive RAID 0 LUNS. Did I miss something? -Kyle

Jumbo frames problem with Realtek NICs?
...a diskfile to a guest vs the VM guest using the iSCSI device directly. However, in the process of trying to establish a baseline performance figure, I started increasing the MTU settings on the PCI-express NICs with RTL8168B chips. First bottleneck was discovering the max MTU allowed on these is 7K instead of 9K but googling seems to indicate that the RTL8168B is only capable of 4K frames. I assumed 4K would still be better than nothing but unfortunately bumping up the MTU to anything else but 1.5K caused the file transfers (using NFS for easy testing), to hang at random points or more accur...

clara - memory limit
Dear all, I'm trying to estimate clusters from a very large dataset using clara but the program stops with a memory error. The (very simple) code and the error: mydata<-read.dbf(file="fnorsel_4px.dbf") my.clara.7k<-clara(mydata,k=7) >Error: cannot allocate vector of size 465108 Kb The dataset contains >3,000,000 rows and 15 columns. I'm using a windows computer with 1.5G RAM; I also tried changing the memory limit to the maximum possible (4000M) Is there a way to calculate clara clusters from...

Pricing for DS3000P
Yep anything over $7k makes it more feasible/reliable to go for multiple server multi-card solution. IBM ServeRAID Manager software
Hi there, I'm in the process of installing Centos 5.2 on an IBM x236 w/ ServeRAID 7k I recently acquired to act as a samba file server. The hardware has all passed various stress tests I could throw at it so we're okay there. My question is. Has anyone had any luck getting the latest IBM ServeRAID Manager v9.0 working in CentOS? If so how? ServeRAID Manager is based off Adapt...

[LLVMdev] [cfe-dev] RFC: Upcoming Build System Changes
...y build > system would require knowledge of both of them plus the python > scripts. That's adding complexity, quite a lot. This argument might make sense if you already know CMake. However, most developers do not and it is much easier to learn Python than CMake. We currently have about 7k lines of CMake code in LLVM/Clang. My python scripts to deal with my proposal are significantly smaller than that. - Daniel > > [snip] > _______________________________________________ > cfe-dev mailing list > cfe-dev at cs.uiuc.edu > http://lists.cs.uiuc.edu/mailman/listinfo/c...

Re: Wine and WoW Cataclysm Patch 4.0 troubleshooting thread
That's what I'm going to do, after purging all the current nvidia stuff frommy system. The second thing I'm going to do is download, build and install the latest decent version of Wine. Thanks for all your advice. It's been really helpful. --------- One more question. What with OpenGL support getting dropped from WoW, I was wondering if it was worth trying to use DirectX under

NFSv4 delegation
just a quick update: no issues with NFSv4.0 (load is slowly growing, currently ~7k mailboxes) instead, bad news from delegation front, we enabled it for a couple of days but we ran in ugly issues: processes went in "uninterruptible sleep" state, load average gets huge, reboot was the only escape :-( -brd Alessio Cecchi wrote: > Il 12/06/2015 13:02, brd ha scritto:...

Does Netlogon prefork feature of samba-4.10 allow larger user base?
hi all, times ago I had a performance bottleneck issues on DCE/RPC process with a 50k user base. Once in a while CPU jumped to 100% and users weren't able to log in. I decided to reduce the user base to 7k user and everything is fine since then. Does the 'Netlogon prefork' (a new feature of samba-4.10) mitigate the above issue? Is it worth to give a try to raise again the AD users to 50k with some confidence that even if high CPU usage shows again at least users' logon is yet possible?...

Re: Wine and WoW Cataclysm Patch 4.0 troubleshooting thread
Off the top of my head, the graphics cards are 7600 GS graphics cards. On the Kubuntu forum, some people who didn't have my problems getting OpenGL to work say they used some X Updates PPA to get their nVidia drivers packages, and they have version 280 of the drivers. I also found a website that talked about building the kernel with some special CONFIG options such as AGPGART and stuff. I

mail-filter cannot work with large email about 700k
Hi All I configured dovecot 2.1.7 with mail-filter plugin. It works well for small emails like server k big.(7k) But it failed with larger emails about 700k. The scripts hang out, and the mail-filter-out process does not exist and always in ps. It does not work even I use "cat" in mail-filter-out.sh. Where to set the size limit for mail-filter? Do you know how to fix this? This bug also exists...

[LLVMdev] [cfe-dev] RFC: Upcoming Build System Changes
...your proposed system deals with both build systems it acts as a common denominator, thus restricting the evolution of them, as some features that could be easy to implement on cmake but difficult on `make' now must go through your scripts, which act as a deterrent. > We currently have about 7k lines of CMake code in LLVM/Clang. My > python scripts to deal with my proposal are significantly smaller than > that. This is unfair, bordering disinformation, I'll say. Most of those lines are plain lists of file names and library dependency info. Then comes support for user options, t...

Seeing performance problems with has_many :through relation
...when I try to access url.phrases for any url object, my console screen fills up with these: Phrase Load (0.006682) SELECT phrases.* FROM phrases INNER JOIN relations ON phrases.id = relations.phrase_id WHERE (relations.url_id = 987) one of those messages for each url, and there can be up to 7k urls for a given scan. I know little about optimizing MySQL databases and I am wondering if I need to tweak the way the tables are structured or if its something I can fine-tune in rails. If it helps the indices were defined on the relations table as follows: CREATE unique index phrase_url on...

Serving static files with Merb
...webkit based browsers (e.g. OmniWeb, Xyle Scope), I''m having problems loading html files. The html loads, and the two css files are being requested, but the activity browser in Safari show them to be the same size (.2k is correct for one of the css files, but the other is more like 7k). The big one is always requested first, the small second. If I hack at the html so that only one css file is requested, it gets that, but then messes up on the png files referred to by the css. Every time I refresh some other largely random mess up occurs. This is looking a lot like a thr...

Painfully slow NetApp with databas
Hello, We have long running problem with NetApp filers. When we connect server to the filer sequential read performance is ~70MB/s. But once we run database on the server seq read performance drops to ~11MB/s. That's happening with two servers. One is running Oracle another - MySQL. During speed tests database load is very light (less than 1MB/s of reads and writes). During the tests NetApp

CRLF/LF Conversion
...a Sun (Solaris 2.5) running in the same network. To access the Sun in character mode we use a terminal emulation (Reflection). We do not access the Sun from the clients in GUI mode. This is what we do: We are supporting a software with a huge amount of single files (more than 7000 (7K) files!) running/laying on the UNIX machine. When we receive a patch we have to have to compare the patched file with the one on our Sun and then add the patched lines into it. Therefore we ftp the files to the Win clients and then use a windows tool (vdifmrg) to compare and patch the file...
