Dropped Calls / Maximum Retries Exceeded / No Reply to Our Critical Packet
...al Cisco 7961G phones and an AEX804E card (4 FXO, hardware echo cancellation). The server and all phones are on the same subnet (10.2.0.x/255.255.255.0) of the local LAN with no NAT, routing, firewall, etc., etc. between the server and the phones. Periodically I'm seeing calls placed from the 7961s through anything on the PBX that requires digit entry (the Auto Attendant, Voicemail, etc.) 'randomly' drop; extension-to-extension calls extension-to-PSTN, and PSTN-to-extension calls never have any issues whatsoever. Cisco 79x1 Auto-Answer
...r the 7961/7970s all ring once and then auto answer so the person paging all the phones has the first part of his dictation clipped. This only happens with 7961/7970. The linksys and the older 7960 (running 7.4 sip firmware) all answer right away and they hear everything. Anyone have the newer 7961s and 7970s running 8.X SIP firmware auto-answering without any initial ring? Cisco IP Phone 7940G.
Hello I recently get a Cisco 7940G IP Phone and I try to make several things with it and I en counted many difficulties: 1.) I tried to unlock the phone and to set manually IP Address, Netmask, Gateway etc. I don't get any luck. 2.) I tried to upgrade firmware like they said with tftp server... I downloaded: P0S3-08-11-00.zip and I uncompressed the files in tftpboot directory. I don't get

Cisco to Asterisk migration
Hi Guys, I have client with a Cisco 2690 call manager solution that wants to upgrade but cannot stomach the costs of continuing with Cisco The installation will go up to 100 users The client currently has about 40 Cisco phones and would like to continue with these phones with the odd Polycom I'm looking at plugging in an Asterisk box and using the existing Cisco box as a PSTN gateway only
