Maybe not the place for this but thought I'd post the info for others. I purchased a cisco 7960 off ebay and needed to convert to SIP for *. I know * supports SCCP but I wont go into that here. I'd read on voip-info.org that a contract could be purchased for approx $8 to allow me to download the firmware. I though, being in the UK, i'd get one through a reseller in the UK.

Hello, I'm looking at getting some Cisco 7910G+SW phones through a local liquidator. Is anyone currently using these with asterisk? Any special limitations with this one as compared to the 7940 and 7960's? Will they work with SIP or are they stuck in Cisco-land with Call-Manager only? Thanks, MATT---

Greetings i have been using asterisk with good success with soft phones and I need to purchase some Sip capable phones to test. How would/do vendor specific phones like cisco 7900's and 3Com VCX 3100 series phones work SIP to SIP if they download the protocol from the Vendor call centers? I want to build my own with Asterisk, and use different phones. They say they are RFC 2543

Hi Everyone!, I'm not sure if my previous request went through or not...It got returned as not-deliverable??? Who knows! Anyway, I need to get hold of the Cisco Firmware to upgrade a 7910G to sip. I know it can be a real pain in the butt getting hold of the firmware, so any help in obtaining it relatively fast and painlessly would be much appreciated.
