virt-sparsify changing the apparent-size of files
...nput.qcow2 is before sparsify and output.qcow2 is after. ...rove: So you are saying when I do the virt-sparsify its converting the image from raw to cow2? I studied the man page for virt-sparsify and tried again with the flag "--format raw" (output2.cow2). Problems when printing *large* R objects
...wly (in my top, in steps of ~ 10m) upto 1076m then the R prompt is displayed and top shows "1081m". It stays there , until I do > gc() where it goes down to VIRT 841m (RES 823m) and after removing the large distance object, and gc() again, it lowers to 820m (RES 790m) and stays there.
