Advice on vlans and pppoe
My telco is moving to feeding me over fiber, breaking out with a media
converter to one Ethernet interface. At present, I am retaining the
static feed over copper on eth0, and taking the two new feeds via vlans
on eth1. I have configured the static IP feed on eth1:790 as vlan 790,
and that seems to be fine, and eth1:780 as the PPPOE feed, and brought
up PPPOE to give me an IP, that is configured as interface ppp0.
The ppp0 feed works fine. I have trouble understanding how to refer to
eth1:790 in the configuration files. Should I just call it eth1 or can I

iRiver iFP-790 and its Ogg Vorbis support
Does anyone have the iRiver iFP-790 player (or maybe any other one of their iFP-7xx series)?
I bought this player very recently, and I have been having problems with Ogg Vorbis playback. It skips so much that you only hear music 20% of the time.

The error occurs on all 4 of my DCs:

ipt1 is an output of a firewall script mainly edited by hand, where parameters
order may vary.

Since your script produces the output of ipt1, just make sure you use the same
order as iptables-save does. Iptables-save will always output args in the same
order. The bug appears to be in the output...

Very slow download with pxelinux > 4.07 on specific hardware
Notice the same thing happens with optiplex 790 (core i5 sandy bridge).
With 790 too everything is ok with pxelinx 4.0.7.
I'll post a wireshark later.
