76Gb to 146Gb [Resolved]
Hello all, I would like to thank you all for your kind replies and feedback in regards to migrating from a smaller hdd to a bigger one (namely from 72gb to 146gb). I finally found a painless way of doing this. Since I believe that this is still an off-topic post, if anyone is interested in the solution i've adopted for this, let me know by replying to me privately. If, however, you

76Gb to 146Gb
Hello all, I have a DL360 G4 1U server that does a wonderfull job with dovecot horde, Xmail and OpenLDAP for a company and serving about 40 acouunts. The machine is wonderful. I am very happy with it. However, I am running out of disk space. It has two times 76Gb Drives in RAID1 (disk mirroring) and the capacity has reached 82%.? I am starting of getting nervous. Memory usage in prcomp
Hi All: I am running prcomp on a very large array, roughly [500000, 3650]. The array itself is 16GB. I am running on a Unix machine and am running ?top? at the same time and am quite surprised to see that the application memory usage is 76GB. I have the ?tol? set very high (.8) so that it should only pull out a few components. I am surprised at this memory usage because prcomp uses the SVD if I am not mistaken, and when I take guesses at the size of the SVD matrices they shouldn?t be that large. While I can fit this in, for a var...
