Re: [iPAQ] Ogg Vorbis fixed-point math anyone ?
Actually, we have a integerized version of the vorbis libraries that are available, royalty free, with a simple attribution requirement. These libraries are 100% C code and run faster than real time on a cirrus 7312-74mhz processor (arm core). My guess is they should run at about 20-30% cpu utilization on a strongarm/200. Monty has this same code, but his version doesn't play b4 content real time. For more information, feel free to contact me off-list. > -----Original Message----- > From: owner-vorbis-d...

Porting Vorbis lib on Ti DSP ? How to ?
...o handle bigger data ( 64 b). For benchmarking, I have seen: > Actually, we have a integerized version of the vorbis libraries that are > available, royalty free, with a simple attribution requirement. These > libraries are 100% C code and run faster than real time on a cirrus > 7312-74mhz processor (arm core). My guess is they should run at about > 20-30% cpu utilization on a strongarm/200. M It should be possible to achieved that at 90Mhz. Hopefully that worst time consumming routine will fit in 32 K Word ( code+data+stack+const) Any suggestions welcome ! --- >8 ---- Lis...

FLAC: minimum system requirements
Hi, I was wondering if the minimum system requirements are determined for the FLAC decoder? I ask this because I have some old computers and also a "older" Pocket PC, so I was wondering how many MB RAM and Mhz CPU speed is needed to be able to decode FLAC files without any problems. thx -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... How many MIPS for Vorbis Decoder?
Hello, I may be stupid, but I cannot find any data on how "expensive" the Vorbis Decoder is. Looking for an embedded solution I am interested in how many "MIPS" you need to decode a MONO audio stream at reasonable quality (44 kHz, approx. 100 kbps?) Can it be done in a microcontroller, or do I need ultra-expensive DSPs to do it? Thanks for hints Jens --- >8 ---- List
