log and pid file problems when using a config file w/ -C
...rerelease, installed today) to serve up some
Rails apps in production. Everything works fine if I give all the
appropriate options on the command line, such as:
$ mongrel_rails start -c /home/mcornick/rails/mcornick.org/current -P log/mongrel.pid -l log/mongrel.log -e production -d -a 127.0.0.1 -p 6833
So, having accomplished that, I thought it would be easier to dump all
that stuff into a config file to use with the -C option. So I did this:
$ mongrel_rails start -c /home/mcornick/rails/mcornick.org/current -P log/mongrel.pid -l log/mongrel.log -e production -d -a 127.0.0.1 -p 6833 -G config/m...

I have tried:

Windows clients see the full capacity? Is this a limitation of the

Thanks for your input.

mount.cifs returns error 13

mounting the share with the same credentials using smbfs works, so there
must be some deeper authentication problem.
Can somebody drop me a hint? Thanks.

samba / winbind user authentication problem
Hi,
I have a problem with samba / winbind PAM authentication. Domain
controller is samba4, machines users log on to via PAM are samba 3.6

working already, but after a reboot it somehow broke. Additional reboots
don't help.
The funny thing is that all logs look quite OK to me (except for the

How to add to EPEL wishlist?
Does anyone know how to submit wishes to the EPEL Wishlist here?
http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/EPEL/WishList
It reads "Immutable Page".
They say: "Please add packages that are part of Fedora but lack a EPEL maintainer to this list", but there is no way to do that!
They don't say if "Packages part of Fedora" means "Core" or it can be Extras too, but

[PATCH net-next] net: make ndo_get_stats64 a void function
The network device operation for reading statistics is only called
in one place, and it ignores the return value. Having a structure
return value is potentially confusing because some future driver could
incorrectly assume that the return value was used.
Fix all drivers with ndo_get_stats64 to have a void function.
