ZtDummy vs Hardware
I was wondering what could be pros and cons of ztdummy vs proper timer device (i.e. X100P). I am going to set up an asterisk server in europe (to do trunking, to save bandwith) and I was wondering if it'll be OK to get it going with ztdummy. Furthermore, I have only a 1024/256kbps PPPOE DSL link and I need to squeeze 12 channels through, I was wondering which codec would be suitable

TCNG HTB priority and bandwidth
Hi, I have several users on the lanside each allocated separate IP addresses. I need to allocate th traffic to each IP addresses certain portion of total uplink. Say, 192.168.0.2 rate 128kbps, ceil 128kbps. 192.168.0.3 rate 65kbps, ceil 128kbps 129.168.0.4 rate 64kbps, ceil 64kbps. and so on.... Also, for each user i would like to prioritize the traffic within the allocated bandwidth. say for (192.168.0.2 rate 128kbps, ceil128kbps), i would like to set prio 1 for http or https traffic and prio 2 for others. Please suggest...

Low bitrate encoding
...served via html. As long as the result is understandable, I'm more than willing to sacrifice quality for space. Gogo works well in producing a usable 8kbps file at about a 12:1 reduction in size, but that's an mp3 file. The best I've gotten with the ogg tools I've tried is about 65kbps, VBR. The quality is much better, but the compression is predictably not as good. I've read that ogg is currently capable of "fixed and variable bitrates from 16 to 128 kbps/channel." Should I be able to encode an ogg file at a fixed bitrate of 16kbps, or is that feature still in th...
