Dell PE600SC with ServerWorks CSB6
Hello!
Has anyone gotten 4.9R to recognize the "ServerWorks CSB6" ATA
controller on a Dell 600SC? How about installing 5.2R on a 600SC? 5.2R
recognizes the said controller, but it corrupts data.

PRI error (HDLC Bad FCS)
Hi,
We currently have an Asterisk box (P4 2.4 Ghz, 512Mb RAM, 1 T100P,
Zhone Channel Bank and 1 E100P) connected to an ISDN running without
any problems. That machine is working for about 1 year.
Two days ago, we decided to switch that machine for two PowerEdge 600SC
(HA) and we got some problems.
The running machine (P4 2.4Ghz) has an Intel motherboard with four
32-bit 3.3v PCI slots, which the T100P and the E100P are connected to.
Great! No problem for almost a year.
Our PE 600 also has an Intel motherboard which only has one PCI 32-bit
3.3v slot and fo...

Hardware for Asterisk
...another system and *not* worry
>about it not being detected.
Yeah, I couldn't agree more.
We originally thought hardware RAID was the way to go, and we bought a
couple of fully loaded Dell PowerEdge 2550s with SCSI hardware RAID 5
arrays at about $4500 a pop. We also bought a PowerEdge 600SC for around
$900 with lots of disk space to use as a network backup machine (backing
up the 2550s) with Linux software RAID 5. I've also had a crappy old
desktop machine running Linux software RAID 1 for a couple of years.
It turns out that the software RAID is just as reliable (more so, in...

Quake II - a modal problem?
I am running FC2 on a Dell 600SC, latest wine version. FYI:Quake II
will run on machines with only 4 MB video cards and no OpenGL. It runs
fine under Windoze. Under Wine it runs the "launching demo" well but
then I have no keyboard or mouse control. I must force the power off to
regain control. On Windoze one wo...

TE410 - 3.3v?
I just noticed that the new TE410 only supports 3.3v PCI. How do you know
if it will work in your machine? It's not something commonly listed in your
motherboard specs....
I was thinking about getting one for an Athlon 750 that is a spare box I'm
doing testing on... (Original SlotA)

T/E410P motherboard requirements ?
Hi,
Can anyone suggest a good motherboard for the T/E410P cards ? Coz it doesn't get inserted in the the regular P4 motherboards due to PCI slot (32 bit) .... Any suggestions.

Azher

spandsp & tdm400p - recommended hardware
...ng to get a system that doesn't show symptoms of frame slips, can
receive faxes, and doesn't show CPU spikes with the tdm400p active.
Unfortunately I haven't had much luck.
I asked Digium whether there was a recommended hardware platform, and the
best they could come up with was a Dell 600SC - but they also mentioned that
the CPU spikes were a normal occurrence. That doesn't seem right.
Can anyone using the TDM400P and spandsp successfully share their hardware
and OS platform? I'm not against ordering hardware, just tired of randomly
trying systems that are lying about.
I a...

Soekris net4801 and analog interface?
Is anyone using a net4801 and an analog only setup? I am looking for a
modem that is PCI 3.3V, apparently the X100P is 5.0V PCI only so it
won't work with the net4801.

Need 3.3v 64 PCI Booard with 800FSB (for ordinary Pentium4, not Xeon)
Just spended ~ hour googling - all boards are based on GC-XX or I750X
Chipsets - all for Xeons. There also some boards for Pentium 3.
Can someone point me to a board with 64Bit 3.3v PCI for ordinary P4 with
800Mhz FSB.
Thanks

Minimum budget question ...
I've tried to figure out from the web site the minimum hardware cost to run a
small office Asterix solution but I'm afraid I miss something:
Let's say that I want to connect four/five analogic extension to the PBX.
I have:
- 1 computer as the server (with linux and Asterisk on it)
- 1 dummy patch panel to connect all the analogic phones around the office
What (and how many) cards
