Incorrect battery.runtime.low being reported?
...com> wrote: > If you stop and start the driver, it should refresh. Hi Charles, thanks for the reply! Pardon the dead horse beating, but I just want to clarify/confirm two things: 1) I did my full power down test (including powering down UPS and NAS, and restarting them) after the change to 600s on the UPS. Shouldn't this pass for restarting the driver, or do you mean that the driver has to be separately restarted after every boot (or perhaps after every on-UPS change)? 2) If I don't refresh NUT's cached value, so the UPS thinks 600 and NUT thinks 120, which value will be hon...

Incorrect battery.runtime.low being reported?
...k up when power returned. My normal configuration is intended to maximize uptime so I want the above sequence to happen when the UPS reports "OB LB" instead of after one minute OB. As part of the desired second configuration, I reset the UPS to report low battery when it had 10 minutes (600s) of estimated battery left. However, battery.runtime.low as reported to NUT is still the default of 120. Ideally, I'd like to fix any possible configuration/administration mistakes so that upsc correctly reports the 600 value as set on the UPS itself. However, I'd also like to keep using...

Polycom Phones & shorter than /24 netmasks
Has anybody tried to use a Polycom phone (I have 500s and 600s) with a netmask shorter than /24? (A network bigger than 255.255.255.0). We've run out of IPs in our initial /24 network, and I'd like to expand it to 255.255.248.0. When I set it to 255.255.248.0 I can ping the phone while the bootloader has control. As soon as the SIP application starts,...

That should do it... strange. You mentioned this briefly, but are there any special settings needed...

Current echo status?
...plugged into a TDM400 FXO port. It doesn't seem to matter if the call goes out over a POTS line or via NuFone; either way there's a fair bit of echo on most (but not all) calls. Do different SIP phones have better echo cancellation then the Cisco 7940/60s? How about the Polycom IP500/600s? Does it matter if calls go out via POTS/T-1/PRI/VoIP? The general impression that I've received is that "fast" channels (basically traditionally telephony interfaces) don't exhibit noticeable echo, but the slight delay associated with VoIP packetization unmasks existing echo...

SIP MWI
If it's already been covered, please forgive the repetition. I searched Mantis, but couldn't come up with anything. We upgraded to Asterisk 1.2.6, and suddenly the Polycom MWI stopped working on SP IP 300s and 600s. All of them. I tried splitting the friend entries in sip.conf into user and peer. I made sure the context of the voicemail box was on the end of the mailbox option in the sip.conf file. I checked and rechecked the config files for the phones. Nothing worked to restore the MWI's until I re...

Aastra phones?
Sorry for being a little off topic, but I'mconsidering a few new phones for my Asterisk installation. I have a mix of Polycom 500/600s and an Aastra 480i CT. I'm considering adding a couple of Aastra 57i or 57i CT. Does anyone here have experience with the 480i CT and the newer 57i CT? I'm curious as to the real differences. Set-up for 2 Asterisk System
...and splits voice/data channels. The voice channels are sent to an ADIT 600 w/ 4 FXS cards. The ADIT 600 then breaks down the T1 voice channels into analog lines, of which 8 are fed into one phone system and 4 are fed into the other phone system. I have been thinking about throwing in 2 more ADIT 600s with the appropriate number of FXO and FXS ports each and interfacing them with a Digium T100P card on each phone system, but this seems to be a bit cost prohibitive. I am wondering what the best way to interface the current lines with Asterisk will be? Thanks! Craig ---------------------...

...run as a netserver, installed the ESXi nut .vib, configured the shutdowncmd in the VM to do nothing, so that the ESXi host would close that virtual machine last and only before it would shut down, it would call the poweroff command. I set the offdelay option of the ups to 300s and ondelay option to 600s and here comes in my problem, whenever the battery.low condition or the upssched script calls the FSD action, everything will beging to shut down normally, except that the UPS will turn off the load in about 100 seconds (while the ESXi host still needs over a minute to shutdown and the VM has not y...

*8 and group pickup not working
Hello I have a Junghanns ISDN BRI card for incoming calls and use SIP Polycom IP300 phones. My config files look like this: features.conf pickupextn = *8 zapata.conf context=frompstnisdn group=1 callgroup=1 pickupgroup=1 I also edited sip.conf like this: group=1 callgroup=1 pickupgroup=1 But on internal and incoming calls if I dial *8 from any phone I cannot pickup. Do I need to add

It isn't actually directory information that is being loaded, but rather the block bitmaps from each group, and each one needs a seek to read. Garcia, the author of the ESXi .vib, is subscribed to this list - perhaps he has some suggestions for other settings there? We also don't have a lot of information on the APC CS650 specifically. There is a DDL entry for the Back-UPS CS 650IE, which may be similar; however, we don't h...

Very long delay for first write to big filesystem
I asked about this a while back. It seems that this problem is getting much worse. The problem/issue: there is a very long delay when my system does a write to the filesystem. The delay now is over 5 minutes (yes: minutes). This only happens on the first write after booting up the system, and only for large files - 1GB or more. This can be a serious problem since all access to any hard disk is
