Asterisk in a Centrex environment?
Does anyone know what would be involved in making Asterisk work as a voicemail system in a Centrex environment? We have a Centrigram voicemail system that belongs in the Smithsonian. There are analog lines coming into the box and a 56KB data feed from the phone company's switch. Peter

Icecast User Login Question
...tation, WOXY, which is interested in updating its streaming radio to Icecast. I have taken this project under my wing and have tried to determine if it's doable. My question is that WOXY would like to have a subscription service to their Icecast server so that they could stream more then 56Kb to their users. However I have been unable to find any documentation for Icecast 2 that says they have user login capability. I see that Icecast 1 does use a flat text file for general user login. Do you know if Icecast 2 is planning anything like this? Do you have any suggestions as to where...

[Bug] Regression problem in transfer.sh for OpenSSH 7.1 P2 on HPE NSE above dd-size 32k
...details. The logs do show the test failure, but no details in failed-sshd.log indicating a specific problem. Some of the formats are a bit wonky but I can live with those. Since you mentioned NFS, which could have been constrained by UDP packet sizes, and this platform sometimes cannot read beyond 56Kb off disk (in some situations), it may be the read of regress/data that is failing. Any pointers where that is hiding so that I can verify that data is actually getting into sshd from the disk? Cheers, Randall

multiple listeners
Hi Im using Icecast2 and SAM2 to broadcast a 56kb 24khz Stereo 2 Channel 6.Kb MP3 stream on a 512k ASDL connection. I know that the number of listeners will be LIMITED to 3 or so - is there any way I can actually calculate this ? I passed my broadcast link to a friend yesterday and they told me that they recieved a 'Server Full' error, i...

Sweave in packages
...o-???.pdf, LaTeX files like foo.blg, foo.bbl, foo.aux, foo.log, etc). Is there any other solution here? - Is it indeed the purpose that the final document should be a pdf file even in source packages. The pdf files tend to become huge, and easily multiply the size of a source package. As I have a 56KB modem at home (working at ~5KB file transfer speed in practice) I am really concerned with this aspect as well (it doesn't concern me at all when at work). Is the assumption that users won't have tools to build a pdf from the Sweave source? cheers, jari oksanen -- Jari Oksanen -- Dept Bio...

Suggest Rsync Performance Improvements
1. Large 1 MB I/O, all reads and write to file systems 1MB (can use setvbuf to do this with out coding) e.g a awk programme doing 8K I/O to read 2GB file took 16 min, a perl programme doing 1MB I/O took 16 seconds. 2. When doing rsync -a /dir1/dir2 /dir3/dir4 Do not use pipe's, as they only read/write 5k at a time this is extremly slow, check it out with Solaris truss. Use sockets with

[Bug] Regression problem in transfer.sh for OpenSSH 7.1 P2 on HPE NSE above dd-size 32k
G'Day, I am requesting help in resolving an issue on the HPE NonStop platform in OpenSSH 7.1 P2 in the regression suite for all dd-size above 32k. Previous tests are all passing, but in the for-loop inside regress/transfer.sh, when s is 64k, the command: dd if=$DATA obs=${s} 2> /dev/null | \ ${SSH} -q -$p -F $OBJ/ssh_proxy somehost "cat >

''zfs recv'' is very slow
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 hi, i have two systems, A (Solaris 10 update 5) and B (Solaris 10 update 6). i''m using ''zfs send -i'' to replicate changes on A to B. however, the ''zfs recv'' on B is running extremely slowly. if i run the zfs send on A and redirect output to a file, it sends at 2MB/sec. but when i use ''zfs send
