Is usbhid-ups compatible with APC Back-UPS ES 550VA and 700VA devices?
...e to know if usbhid-ups is the right and best driver for these devices. I'm confused. The data list mentions only the "APC Back-UPS ES/CyberFort 350" as compatible and does not give more information about the full APC/MGE family devices. Also, I'm not sure that an APC Back-UPS ES 550VA or its equivalent 700VA is the same device as the described Back-UPS ES. For instance, APC Back-UPS ES 400VA doesn't even have an usb port to communicate with the pc. It becomes hard to know if all such devices on the market are nut compatible. Thanks for your help.

newhidups: today's changes
Here is a summary of the changes I made to newhidups today (between the tags after_PSE_6 and after_PSE_9, roughly). * all the vendor-specific code that was in various "switch" statements has now been moved to the individual subdriver (apc-hid, mge-hid, belkin-hid) files. This also includes the vendor-specific Usage tables. In future, it should be quite easy to add new
