list. (As well, and this is minor, the speeds are explicitly listed for
802.11a and 802.11b, but just labelled as 'appropriate' transmit speeds for
802.11g. 'Twould be nice to have them all uniformly listed.)
Secondly, I was under the impression that 802.11g could support up to
54Mbps. Does FreeBSD not provide support for speeds that fast (ISTR it did
at one point)?

dovecot config for 1500 simultaneous connection
> 1500 IMAP sessions will eat up about 3GB alone.
Are you saying that Dovecot needs 2MB of physical memory per IMAP session?
If I want to support a max 100,000 IMAP sessions per server, I should configure the server to have at least 200GBs of SWAP?

Borland C++ 5 patch 1 and wine
Hy,
I'am trying to compile a little project with Borland C++ 5
on my redhat 7.0 box with the rpm package from linux-easy for wine.
The IDE is working correctly, compilation goes ok
but when comes time to link all object files together Borland c++ stop to
work. I tried to export project file and do a make, it is the same
problem ilink32.exe seems to hang....
Thanks for help

XEN HVMs on LVM over iSCSI - test results, (crashes) and questions
...nux CERN
- SLC - 4 and 3 (RedHat EL 4 and 3) HVMs and other non HVM machines.
The volume I imported from the iSCSI is used with LVM: each HVM domain
has a 8GB drive partitioned with a 1GB swap and rest on /.
These are performance for bonnie++ (Per Chr column write and read):
iSCSI dom0: w: 54M, r: 47M (no domU)
Local disk dom0: w: 59M, r: 51M (3 idle domU)
HVM single : w: 18M, r: 37M
I''ve then launched bonnie++ on two separate SLC4 HVM (cloned):
HVM 1 : w: 8M, r: 33M
HVM 2 : w: 8.5M, r: 38M
The same on three HVM:
HVM 1 : w: 4.4M, r: 11...

High memory needs [SOLVED]
...ile which is memory-mapped.
Apparently, on 32bits distros, and on most 64bits distros, only a part
of the locale-archive file is mmapped: for instance on CentOS 32 bits:
$ pmap $$
b7689000 2048K r---- /usr/lib/locale/locale-archive
Only 2MB of the file are mmapped, while the file is actually ~54MB.
Some distros only install a small subsets of languages, for instance
on my Ubuntu 12.04, this file is only ~3MB.
I still don't get the reason, but CentOS x86_64 6.2 (and 6.3) mmappes
the *entire* file:
$ pmap $$
00007f217fae4000 96836K r---- /usr/lib/locale/locale-archive
