one-shot yum command to match rpms between systems?
Given a list of rpms on one system (rpm -qa > list.txt), is there a one-shot command that I can run on another system to remove all of the rpms not listed and add any that are on the list and not present on the second system? -- MELVILLE THEATRE ~ Real D 3D Digital Cinema ~ www.melvilletheatre.com

portaudit
Any reason why portaudit and its associated infrastructure was not announced to this list or security-notifications? I recently discovered it, and discovered the feature was added to bsd.port.mk in the beginning of feburary. Seeing as the security officer apparently (without announcement) no longer issues security notices (SNs) for ports, I am assuming that portaudit has replaced SNs entirely,

Symlink shared mailboxes and system_user extra field
Hello, I'm trying to set up, as explained in the wiki, shared mailboxes with symlink. I'm running dovecot-1.1.8 with LDAP pass/userdb. The Maildir layout goes like this : /courriel/boites/foobar : Maildir of user foobar (nfs) /courriel/meta/foobar : control files of user foobar (nfs) /var/dovecot/indexes : indexes (locally stored) I created : /courriel/boites/doveshared/.box/ :

Ferret-0.10.3 released
Hey all, I''ve just released Ferret 0.10.3. It is mostly just a bugfix release. I''ve also added Ferret::Analysis::HyphenFilter which filters hyphenated words for better search results. Basically the way it works is it concatenates a hyphenated word as well as adding the two separate terms. So "set-up" becomes "setup", "set", "up" so

[PATCH 0/5] Fix deadlock on runtime suspend in DRM drivers
Hi I've not been able to reproduce the original problem you're trying to solve on amdgpu thats with or without your patch set and the above "trigger" too Is anything else required to trigger it, I started multiple DRI_PRIME glxgears, in parallel, serial waiting the 12 seconds and serial within the 12 seconds and I couldn't reproduce it Regards Mike

TDB changes between 3.0 and 3.6
Hi, For reasons I'll explain below for those interested, I need to downgrade Samba from 3.6.16 to 3.0.36. Are there changes to the TDB files that will cause problems when I do this? And if there are, is there a relatively easy way to fix it? Thanks, Rob Boring description of why I need to do this: I support a product that is based on Linux and includes Samba to provide CIFS support. The

xmv and vlan on snv_105?
Hi, I updated my installation to snv_105 from pkg.opensolaris.org/dev. Booting xvm kernel doesn''t work. The last working xvm version that I tested was on snv_98. I filed a bug report earlier on http://defect.opensolaris.org/bz/show_bug.cgi?id=5905 Is anyone using xmv on opensolaris 2008.11 (stable or dev)? Is it suppose to work, or is it one of those

File Size Limit - Why/How?
Hello Samba Lists: I am trying to read a 22TB file from a system running OpenSuSE 10.3/x64 (Using whatever version of Samba came out with 10.3/x64). The file is on a 30TB XFS volume. I'm connecting over 10GBit Ethernet from a Windows Server 2003/X64 client. If I try to read the 22TB file, I get the message "Access Denied", but if I try to read 100GB files from the same volume, they
