This was under Ubuntu 16.10 with R version 3.3.1 (2016-06-21) "Bug in Your Hair"
Yesterday, I upgraded my Ubuntu to 17.04 (R version 3.3.2 (2016-10-31) "Sincere Pumpkin Patch") and tried again. This resulted in the exact same error.
How is it possible that a 513MB file cannot be read on a machine with 8GB RAM?
Also, how is it possible that a machine with twice the RAM as the previous one cannot load the same file?
Since the only other difference is the Ubuntu version (thus R version), I assume there's a bug in R/csv loader, but I don't know where to...

I'm having some problems with quota from sql (maildir++) and dovecot +
maildrop.
I'm using maildrop for MDA and dovecot as IMAP server.
When an e-mail arrives, maildrop calculates the quota and updates the
'maildirsize' file. When i use dovecot (webmail, thunderbird) it updates
the 'maildirsize' too, overwriting it, but in a

3TB External USB Drive isn't recognized
We have a 3TB external USB drive that I am trying to attach to some CentOS5
servers. I have tried an older Dell PE1950 and a newer R310 but neither one
seems to be able to read the drive. It works no problem on windows
servers/workstations and I was able to format with NTFS.
I know there are different methods for formatting large disks but this one
doesn't even seem to show up as a /dev/
