[Bug 585] sshd core dumping on IRIX 6.5.18 with VerifyReverseMapping enabled
http://bugzilla.mindrot.org/show_bug.cgi?id=585 ------- Additional Comments From dtucker at zip.com.au 2003-07-07 00:32 ------- dmalloc (http://dmalloc.com/) claims to work on IRIX. It's likely to increase the CPU and memory load, though. I've built with dmalloc on Linux thusly: LDFLAGS=-ldmalloc ./configure && make eval `dmalloc -l /path/to/log high` ./sshd [options]

Authoring a book
Me and some colleagues are planning to write a textbook together ("Statistics using R") where the target audience for the book is psychologists and students of psychology. We thought that it might be a good idea to use a Wiki when writing the text. Is that a good idea? Does anybody have any experience in that direction? What alternatives are there? The tool (Wiki) would have to be

Problem with pointsizes in Graphics
Hello, I have a problem with the sizes of points on the screen (Code tested for some R versions on a Solaris system and also for Linux). Maybe it is best to start with an example: If I do a very simple plot using the character '.' for the points, e.g., n<-100; plot(0:n,0:n,pch='.',cex=1+(0:n)/20) then not all for all the points the horizontal and vertical dimensions are the

Greetings. HP claims RHEL 4 supports their servers with the Intel 3000 and 5000 chipsets. Has anyone had any trouble/success building machines that use this? For example, CentOS 4.4 on http://www.supermicro.com/products/system/1U/5015/SYS-5015M-T+.cfm Thx. Mike -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... Samba 4 slow write
Hi Jones, many thanks for your reply. Yepp, I'm using ACL's (Posix ACL's) on filesystem to regulate the access of users for files and directories. Do you mean that this is the "normal" way? These geteuid and getegid system calls are so slow? On the previous system (Debian Wheezy, Samba 3) I've also used ACL's, but there were much faster than this... What should
